What is Truth?
Pilate asked that of Jesus 2100 years ago. John 18:38 The world is still wondering today.  Relativism permeates our society today. Meaning, my truth IS NOT your truth and vice versa. Why is it so important to believe in an absolute truth?   Absolute means that it is not situational by nature.   Society has ceased to believe in an absolute truth or savior.  Leaving society with no guiding truth but their own feelings.  A life filter that is so broken, shattered, distorted, and untrustworthy, who could trust it to know the truth IF they saw it?  What would be their basis of truth?  Isn’t truth knowing the difference morally of right and wrong? The problem is not everyone loves the truth or even wants it when its in the way of what they want or feel. What good is the truth if it isn’t applied or
if a wrong truth is applied in an inappropriate area?

So, answer this for yourself!  What is your absolute basis for truth?  Some in our circle may say the Bible.  But how can you know that truth when we treat it like a passing stranger?
Does it cease to be truth if we don’t hold to it?   If it is known but not applied?

Do you remember the story of the frog put into a pot of nice warm soothing water?  But the temperature kept rising towards a boil.  The strength has been so sapped from the frog they have no power left to escape or save themselves.  They died in the warmth of their surroundings. Too many of us live in the warmth of our own comfort zones, ignoring the truth of God knocking at our doors to make a change.  When we change the way, we see things.  Things change.  But the road forward is a narrow road and if God has opened your eyes, then you can see His truth.  An Absolute truth.  What is yours?

  1.  Only one God.  TRUTH!
  2. The Bible is the inspired word of God and from it issues all truth and power.  TRUTH!
  3. Jesus is the ONLY way to heaven.  He died to save mankind. ABSOLUTE TRUTH!
  4. The Bible is God’s revelation of Himself.

Roman 11 33-36
Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and[a] knowledge of God!
    How unsearchable his judgments,
and his paths beyond tracing out!
34 “Who has known the mind of the Lord?
Or who has been his counselor?”[b]
35 “Who has ever given to God,
    that God should repay them?”[c]
36 For from him and through him and for him are all things.
To him be the glory forever! Amen.
Lord open my ears and eyes to see your truth.  I want no other.
Help me to Stand!  Open my heart to your word!
