So how does one sow seeds to God?
Paul lays it down as a law of nature, not admitting of any exception: “He that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption, but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting” (Gal. 6:8).
The crop comes from the seeds we plant. God says, his word will never return void.” Isaiah 55:11 Our words, our actions, our seeds will also not return void. They WILL produce a crop. God’s word never returns without fulfilling its promise. I pray that gives you hope and comfort. The health of your relationship with God and the health of your Garden hinges on regular time in God’s word. You will reap what you sow.
So how does one sow seeds to God?
1. Every seed planted must be received by faith. Meaning when you sow a seed, put it in God’s hands, and then watch God graciously and mercifully send a miracle that we need based on our faith.
People think miracles don’t happen anymore. Every prayer answered is a miracle. Every seed planted and given to God will not return void. It too is a miracle.
2. Recognize that God is YOUR source. Psalms 23:1 – The Lord is my shepherd: I shall lack nothing. … In all your ways acknowledge him, And he will direct your paths
3. Give first so that it may be given back to you. Luke 6:38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom.
4. Expect a Miracle! For without faith we cannot please God. Hebrews 11:6 NIV. Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. … And without faith, it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. Or James 1:17 Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. He wants to give us “pleasures forevermore”
We have begun a new year. A new thing. Do you want to be the same ol you? Are you ready for a fresh anointing? A fresh outpouring of his Holy Spirit? Then let’s examine our crop. Let’s look at our fruit. It all came from the seeds we planted. Some of them are weeds growing with the wheat. You can change your crop this year. Ask the Holy Spirit to come in and take the wheel and watch miracles begin to happen in you and all around you.
