Hearing Faith is Not enough  –  It’s time to Speak it to another level!

One of the biggest problems people have is this issue of standing alone. Carring the weight of atlas on their shoulders. They have too few friends or no friends. No one they trust no one to truly confine in.
Let alone someone who might point them to God.

So they walk with the baggage of life’s hurts, and mistakes without even the words to express them,
if they had someone close enough who cared.

Yes, i could talk to you about joining a small group somewhere and invest your time into some God searching people like yourself.  But instead let’s start with the Holy Spirit our go between with God.   He is the ultimate source of strength and peace. If we would allow him to be …ASK him into our lives.
What that does is to allow you to see your circumstances through gods view

We discussed in our men’s group the different coping mechanisms we use to deal with our realities?
And then how can they become an idol or a distraction from God.

Escapisms:  Anything that distracts us from the problems at hand.  Sports, cars, shopping,  being angry, wallowing in the depression of our hurt or just being alone reading a novel.

One question that was raised who talks like this in our lives? Who do we even have to discuss matters like this?  Do we even do it with our spouses?  And then we wonder why we feel lonely, detracted, and even lost too much of the time. Going through the motions of redundancy in our lives month in and month out.  And then 10 yrs is gone. And we are similarly in the same place

The truth is we will continue on this path until we reach out to god the Holy Spirit and BELIEVE what gods word says about life. About who the hs is to us. How he was sent as an empowerer and advocate for each of us.  Who will you believe regarding your purpose for being here.

John 14:26 “ But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. ”He is our teacher and will cause you to remember.
He’ll cause the remembrance in time of trial and when the storm is at its worst.

Another translation is that the Holy Spirit is called our advocate, comforter, counselor, helper, intercessor, strengthener, it said that the Holy Spirit will come from the father, in the name of Jesus himself. The holy person is the third person of the trinity. He’s a person that was sent specifically to each one of us to be all those things to each one of us.

The Bible says the devil is the accuser all day every day he is in God’s presence pointing out each of our sins.  Revelations 12;10 although we were nothing but sinners, by putting our trust in Jesus, he defends us along with the Holy Spirit.

The Greek work, “Paracletos” means 1. who pleads another’s clause, who helps another by defending or comforting him. It is the name given by Christ three times to the Holy Spirit in John 14:16,15:26 and 16:7  the Greek word is also rendered comforter.

We invite him to be with us by conforming our life to the commandments,
and by living by Christ teachings and speaking outloud about them.

This is not just about just pleading with God for help. Our lives should reflect our desire to learn God’s ways to show him we’re serious about having him help us each day.

We have to be prepared to receive what he brings to us. The spirit frees us from feelings, like regret, malice, hatred, strife, and all forms of evil in our hearts. We’re left with a desire, and hope to do good and promote righteousness wherever we go… We get excited to invest in the kingdom of God. But we can’t do that in a pew or in the quiet solitude of an arm chair. Faith is made up of two main components, believing in the heart and saying with our mouth. This is what the Apostle Paul called the spirit of faith but faith must be released to do its job. Faith comes by hearing and it is released by speaking but you must have both believing AND SPEAKING in order for your faith to work.  You cant continue to rant about how bad things are,  how worthless you are, what stupid mistakes you have made or how there is no real hope for you.

Most of us need to be reminded to watch what we say, to speak our faith and to say what we believe and not what we see and feel. Too many times, our confession is undermining our faith and can be the cause of many problems. If you’re not happy with the life you’re living in Christ, check your confession. As one writer said, “You’ll never rise above your confession.”
That is a sobering thought!
