How Do We Fill Our Mouths with Jesus?

“Fill your mouth with my praise. Lift your voices and let my name be the first to speak in the morning, in the noon time, and at night. Let me fill your mouth with wisdom and encouragement for all you see. Let your heart overflow. Let your purpose be transparently ME. Because I am risen, so are you! Step into your calling. Receive the abundance of what I’ve already given. Because I sit at the right hand of my father, so do you! Because I was glorified, you are filled with my Holy Spirit. You are already filled. Open your mouth and proclaim my goodness and the power of the Holy Spirit in your life, marriage, job, and purpose. I am in you and with you. Let the world know! Let the name of Jesus be the broadcast of your life. Have faith. I am in you right now!
Let my glory be heard”.

As I reviewed this prophecy from Sunday, I felt like He was saying…
Be responsible for your words.  Be intentional with your words.
He is asking us to fill our mouths with Jesus.  All day, every day.  I wondered how many of us can honestly say that we do.  I believe it was D L Moody who said if after 60 seconds I have not used the name of the Lord, or pointed toward the wisdom of His word, then I have missed the boat.
That is a pretty steep standard to apply to one’s daily life.

“Fill your mouth with my praise. Lift your voices and let my name be the first you speak in the morning”.

How obvious is that?  Really?  Don’t we know?
I think honestly, we weigh all our words too casually.
Too nonchalantly.
Too unintentionally
And that is not being responsible.

Whose filter are we using?  We all have a filter, so which one is our default filter?
The one we have come to use without thinking?
You know the one that is not so sensitive.
Not forward thinking
Or forward lifting.

When do we grow up to the true weight of the words that we use so effortlessly and nonchalantly? And if you are intentionally making Jesus a main part of your voice.
A main exclamation of your praise.  I think our flesh would have a much harder time sputtering its junk… and negativity.

So beyond his encouraging word to “Open your mouth and proclaim my goodness and the power of the Holy Spirit in your life, marriage, job, and purpose. I am in you and with you. Let the world know! Let the name of Jesus be the broadcast of your life”.
We are to be his megaphone!

What does God say?  Isn’t he our tutor, mentor,  confidant, and the motivation and prize set before us?  What were His words?
In Ephesians 1:3-6 He said, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. In love, he predestined us for adoption as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will,  to the praise of his glorious grace, with which he has blessed us in the Beloved”.

Or the words to the prodigal that came home? “The father forgave his son when he returned home. His words were welcoming and celebratory”. (Luke 15:11)

One-word sentence conversations can change everything in someone’s world.

One ill-advised word,  one angry moment of offense, can make or destroy another life.

Give it life or kill it!

Your words are your future and my future.  He said, “Fill your mouth with my praise”.  When we fill our hearts and mouths with love for Jesus then what comes out are words that encourage… words that motivate, ones to grow…to teach…words that edify.

He said in His word, “Let the world know! Let the name of Jesus be the broadcast of your life. Have faith. I am in you right now! Let my glory be heard”.

When we fill our mouth with God’s praise, we fill it with love, forgiveness, understanding, faithfulness, encouragement,
and most of all a proclamation of Jesus Himself.

As linguistic as we are. Love is just not enough of a description… It’s not enough…But the name of JESUS says so much more than love.  We see through a glass dimly…our language is based on a foundation of worldly experiences and education…But Jesus changes that.  His name changes everything.  It breaks strongholds in every conceivable area.  Let your mouth be filled with His praise and change your life
and change your world.  In Jesus name!
