ROAD IN THE WILDERNESS & RIVERS IN THE DESERT

How is God working in your life today?….right now? What is the purpose of your day?… Eat…make a living…meet with people…family…work on a special hobby…work a second job. All of these are good things, and often necessary endeavors. Survival. But Jesus said in John 5: 19 “I tell you the truth the son can do nothing by himself, he can only do what he sees his father doing because whatever the father does the son also does. For the father loves the son and shows him all he does and yet to your amazement he will show him even greater things than these.”

We were talking last week about the Prophecy. In essence, God is at work. He has special work for us to do. He said to Stop and Listen…Fast and Pray…To take back the purity of our time and sanctuary with God! Why? Because He has something big to do in our lives. He has a bigger purpose for you and me…and us. But we can only see it with Spiritual Eyes. The scripture above is a perfect replica of what we should be doing. Knowing that we can accomplish nothing eternal in the natural. God Almighty has determined to work through his children to accomplish His purpose of advancing His kingdom. He is not deterred by the ages of time or changing civilizations. He has chosen to work through strong men and women who see God…who see the Father’s work…who live and breathe and have their being to do what they see the Father doing. (Acts 17:28) There is a Spirit of want in all this…A Spirit of relationship, cooperation… a shared vision, a committed resolve to do what my Father is doing and in so doing teaching and mentoring others to carry on His vision for His Kingdom.

Can you even still remember those times when we were very young when we tried to emulate our Dad? What a joy it was to mimic him with our toy hammer or help him craft something. Father God is always at work and always working through His people with the love and power of his purpose and calling. But we, like our ancestors can be a stiff-necked people. We look too quickly to the easy way out. We get lazy and I can hear Jesus’s chastisement: Oh Ye of little faith!

But we had a wake-up call in this word, to take pause, and look to where our true hope comes from, to refocus…maybe redirect, what the Father would have us do. What could it mean to be in alignment with God? To live under the calling of His directive and purpose? No weapon can stand against Him! No obstacle is too big for God Almighty and His chosen priesthood of Spirit warriors!
NONE!

“Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.” (Isaiah 43:19, NKJV)

Can I take you back to our ancestors who were stuck too… in captivity? But the Israelites were not only in captivity in Babylon but all around them was the desert. Even if they escaped, they couldn’t survive the journey home. But God explained the “new thing” He was doing for them. He was going to make a road to get them through the wilderness and make rivers in the desert to give them drink. He was saying, “You can’t figure this new thing out because it’s not going to be in the natural; it’s going to be supernatural.” Isn’t that what He was telling us last week?

He said to press in by faith. I implore you to join us. You are not alone. Our prayers are rising like a cloud of incense before our Father. There is true power in community. We all are grafted in together and our prayers and fasting are united in purpose to draw nigh unto him…to step into the deeper waters He said are right before us. (Can’t swim…no worries we will teach you…Take our hand…Stop and Listen and you will hear Him speak to you. In His word, through circumstances, through others, He will send to you, by His Spirit. If you need to talk reach out in the reply area below, you’ll find you have a spiritual family who cares.

God is moving forward…with or without you. The Father is always working…we need to be about our Father’s work like Jesus said in the Temple when His mother had been searching for him for 3 days

. “Did you not know…I must be about my Father’s work!”

Father never asks us to do something he doesn’t finance or mastermind. He only calls for our obedience and submission. He will do the realigning necessary in your life to move His calling and His purpose forward! I continue my prayer and fasting into my second week as an encouragement that you are not alone. God has already given me several breakthroughs but I sense He is not done yet…so I press in by His Spirit, He will move whatever mountain is giving you pause from just jumping into the waters of His calling. He will do it! He said ‘Crucify the flesh…Surrender it all! That is your part!
And then stand back and see the salvation of the lord!
