Sundays Prophecy –  Give it ALL to God!

I entered worship today having had a good week but work has been slow and it has been weighing on me.  It affects your peace,  It tends to make you put in more hours driving and driving.  You may think.  He has always been there for me…Yet anxiety creeps in with the extra hours your investing, which somehow always depletes your energy and drive to do other things.  I was into the second song and I felt that familiar voice talking to me.   Honestly, I have questioned this gift God has given me for years, yet he regularly, proves to me…its him.  Today was no exception.  Here is what I heard.

“My word is the road less traveled. Stop being anxious about tomorrow. Trust in the lighted path that goes before you. Stop looking left or right and stay laser focused on my word. Let me be your light of truth. Let me direct you. I have spoken, search me out. Spend some extra time with me. Ask me what you will. I am here for you. You will hear me if you will seek me wholeheartedly. Don’t be anxious, just trust me. I am the only truth and light for you. You were called to be different and set apart. Take the place of your calling, yes, step up to my alter of grace, forgiveness and mercy.
I am waiting for you to enter my deeper Waters”.

His confirmation came as Pastor came up and we saw he was speaking on Anxiety.

Matthew 6:24-34 “No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.

He refers to this spirit of anxiety and fear as a Master.  Serve Fear or Serve Faith. Devoted to one and despise the other.  We cannot do both.

Choose your master.  Jesus taught us to examine our fear, worry, and anxiety as CLUES into who we worship or what we worship in any given moment.

25“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? 26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27 Can any one of you, by worrying, add a single hour to your life?  32 For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34 Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own”.

Have you ever read a scripture and started weeping? Or got emotional?? What does that mean? Should we read it again? Think deeper about it? Is God speaking to me?  It’s yours… IF you seek the kingdom.
IF. IF. IF   How are you doing with that?

Pastor said The heaviness of worry and anxiety is not your job. Yes, be diligent. Plan.  Execute… But do not fear or be anxious Phil 4:6

Give it ALL to God!

An ANXIOUS person is NERVOUS and is WORRIED or DREADING some future event. Jesus said “Do not fear OR be dismayed?   IS 41:10, He said, don’t fear, but why add dismayed? Look at the scripture:
“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand”.

Dismayed means feeling distress or anxiety, typically at something unexpected. God is speaking with tenderness here, telling us not to look around as one might do in danger or in a state of alarm.  Don’t turn your head left or right…“stay laser-focused”, and don’t get distracted from His truth!

1 Peter 5:7 “Cast ALL your anxiety on him because he cares for you.”  Its a spiritual battle.
This isn’t about “willing it” or tough it out.

The Goal?  PEACE! PEACE is the result of proximity to the Light.

You can find the clarity of the light by getting closer to the light. Proximity. Who are you closer to?   When you are in a dark place and you get separated…you stop, look around, and see the darkness, but if you “stop to think,” you can see the light in the distance… Yes, there is more darkness at times, but we must keep our eyes on the light.  Head for the light?  You may have to go a few steps back… or maybe even change your direction… because peace is the result of proximity to His light…His word.
Why is it I can be so sure of this?

Isaiah 26:3 says, “You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you!”   Are you listening?

We have to stop and think about these things.  We have to return to the scene of our strength.
God’s written word.

Proverbs 14:26. “In the fear of the Lord one has strong confidence, and his children will have a refuge.”
I would rather Fear God…  I mean… Reverencing the Lord rather than reverencing the darkness of what might happen. Neither difficult personal circumstances nor alarming world events should shake the believer’s assurance that God is in control.  So you know that to be true?  Then we must believe in that, but even more act on that… Walk in that!

I think the word “fear” in this verse means Covenant submission, Obedience, Respect, and
A certain knowledge that the Lord will hold to His word, but we must speak it. “

In the fear of the Lord, one has strong confidence, and his children will have refuge.

Is prayer your first response or last resort? Do you express to God on a regular basis what your needs are? How often is gratitude a part of your prayer life? Or do we only have a WANT list?

Read the prophecy again.

“My word is the road less traveled. Stop being anxious about tomorrow. Trust in the lighted path that goes before you. Stop looking left or right and stay laser-focused on my word. Let me be your light of truth. Let me direct you I have spoken, search me out. Spend some extra time with me. Ask me what you will. I am here for you. You will hear me if you will seek me wholeheartedly. Don’t be anxious just trust me. I am the only truth and light for you. You were called to be different and set apart. Take the place of your calling, yes, step up to my altar of grace, forgiveness, and mercy. I am waiting for you to enter my deeper Waters”.
