Fearlessly Courageous

“How often have you cried out for a weapon to fight the good fight?
How often have you stood in frustration over impending events?
Yet my praise is the weapon that will turn the tide – Change the momentum –
Give you a strength and power not found in man’s will!
It is a command I have given you. Let every breath proclaim my riches and glory.
Let every tongue confess that I am Lord over all. Sing my children and declare my promises.
Let my praise go before you. Let them be the ground upon which you walk.
Let them be the heavens that cover you and sustain you for my namesake.
What else could you possibly need but the power of my name lifted on high in
and for every area of your life? What is everything else but a counterfeit?
Praise me in the storm and see my power and my salvation poured out for you”.
When was the last time you stopped to consider the many benefits of Praising God in the storm?
Please correct me if I am wrong.
It invites the presence of God: “But thou art holy, O thou that inhabits the praises of Israel.”- Psalm 22:3
It lifts our spirits and helps us overcome anxiety: “In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.” – 1 Thessalonians 5:18 What is possibly so bad from keeping you from inviting in the King of Kings and Lord of Lords?
It opens doors of blessings and breakthroughs into our lives: “And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them. And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one’s bands were loosed.” – Acts 16:25-26 Now that you have matured a bit, how many of those past supposedly coincidental salvations or deliverances, can you now attribute to God’s providential hand? The Bible teaches that God is not only sovereign – controlling all things at all times – but He is actually guiding events in accordance with His eternal purposes.
Ephesians 1:11 says that “He works all things after the counsel of His will.” (See Psalm 33:11 & Isaiah 43:13.) Nothing happens by chance or by accident!
It creates an atmosphere of faith and miracles: “And when he was come into the house, the blind men came to him: and Jesus saith unto them, Believe ye that I am able to do this? They said unto him, Yea, Lord. Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you.” – Matthew 9:28-29 KJV
Doesn’t praise remind us of God’s power and remind us of who he is and what He can do? Remember that a thirst for God, is all we need for a rainfall of miracles, signs and wonders. Praising invites God’s presence into every situation…our spirits are lifted…the atmosphere is changed and we are refreshed and renewed! The Bible says you overcome the enemy by the blood and the “word of your testimony.”
That most certainly is the fruit of our lips. Praising God!
Therefore, it is important to give God thanks and praise in all circumstances, as it not only honors Him but also unlocks His blessings into our lives.
Forgive me for not seeing your faithfulness.
Forgive me for my despair and for not lifting up your name above my doubts and the lies of this world. Forgive me for wallowing in my pitiful, thinking –
Allowing it to take control over my faith and hope and trust in you.
I WILL praise you. I will lift up your name in ALL circumstance and I WILL NOT be moved by what I see. I’m inviting you in to take your position as Lord of my life… into all those closed and forgotten closets that follow me like a milestone around my neck, my thoughts and my desires of independence.
Praise is a weapon and I will use it Today!
