Sunday’s Prophecy – What is a Fresh Anointing?

“Are you ready to follow? I have things for you to do. Are you ready to follow me? That means you must get in the game! My calling goes far beyond you, gasping for air. My calling will lead you through a breakthrough. My Holy Spirit will lead you to a higher ground. But I need you to see farther down the road. Release your faith because I have for you a fresh anointing to take the high ground. I need you to rise above your current mountains so you can focus more on the work I have for you.
Are you ready to step out in my faith?
Eye has not seen, ear has not heard the things that I have for you.
So step out in faith into the deeper waters of my presence. I’ve got you in this.
Let go, so you can take a hold of the sweeter ground that I have placed before you.
Let go of the past and hold on. I’ve got this”.

Forgive me for not continueing on our series on the Rapture and the Antichrist but I felt this was a timely word for many of us.

I’ve always said until you see it you cannot have it or even know it.
We get so caught up in the past.  Paralyzed by past mistakes, mishaps, repeats, anxieties, and fears. It is clearly a type of blindness to what can happen.  We actually lose our faith in creating a new future.
We forget all the things that Jesus said about us.
We have not just heard the counterfeits thrashing around in our thoughts, but we have come to accept them as truth.  We have traded the truth of God for a lie and reaped the fruit of it.

He said, “are you ready to follow Him?”  Meaning we have to stop following ourselves and the direction we have detoured to. He asked it a second time and added a BUT.  “You must get in the game”  We sit and gasp for air when the air God provides is an atmosphere of possibilities.  He wants us to see farther and release our faith for a fresh anointing to take the high ground.  He said, “I need you to rise above your current mountains so you can focus more on the work I have for you.
Are you ready to step out in my faith?
We become so engrossed in making a living.  Planning our next vacation.  Caught up in quarrels and squabbles that bind us, blind us, and steal our faith because we have taken our eyes off Jesus.
His word.  His truth. His direction and purpose.
We have fixed our eyes on the problem, spoken self-fulfilling prophesy’s that damn us and speak ill of our chances for success.  Interesting that he used the term  “My Faith” and then he quotes, 1 Cor 2:9 “It is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him?He says, “Release your faith and I have for you a fresh anointing to take the high ground”

Stop a moment and ponder that.  What does that mean to you?
What is a fresh anointing?
To experience a fresh anointing of God in your life requires change. I have learned that nothing good comes quickly or easily. As you go up to a new level, there’s a price to be paid. Much of the price to be paid is on your knees, praying in the Spirit, seeking the Lord, not seeking after things, but seeking after Him.  If you look closely isn’t that what he says here?  “So step out in faith into the deeper waters of my presence”.   He asks several times…” are you ready?”  Let Go!

1.  That means yielding to the Holy Spirit.
2.  It means entering into Worship.
3.  Immersing yourself in God’s word.  What does He say?  Who does he say you are?
4.  Spending time by stepping into the deeper waters of His presence.  Each of these things listed is the how-to of drawing closer to him.  Closer to the light and farther away from the darkness that has convinced you to believe the lie.
5.  Accept God’s challenge.  Let his encouragement, empower you.  Change you.

Isn’t that what David said in Psalm 92:10  “I shall be anointed with fresh oil”.  A fresh anointing is the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit into our lives.  He enables us to understand,  to apply his truth and insight to that situation.   The anointing is the spiritual connection of you and God the Holy Spirit.

The last part of the prophecy is:  I’ve got you in this. Let go, so you can take a hold of the sweeter ground that I have placed before you. Let go of the past and hold on. I’ve got this”.

His holy word puts it another way.

  • “Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it?” Isaiah 43:18-19
  • “Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus” Philippians 3:13-14

So SPEAK LIFE TO YOURSELF.  Take this prophecy at its word.  Take God at his word.  Bind the ties that bind you and loose the blessings he speaks of.

  • “Truly I tell you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven…” “Truly I tell you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. Matthew 18:18-20
