Fearlessly Courageous

Teddy Roosevelt in 1912 was shot in the chest, and completed his speech,
similar here a 100 yrs later. Haters will always find a way. The reaction of key leaders,
the American people, and the media is all over the board. Angry but more Sad.
President Biden has asked that we turn down the hostile rhetoric but social media is ablaze with hate. People are sorry he was missed as they continue to spit out their venom.
They are still calling people, Nazis, racist, anti-democratic, he will destroy America!…. that is hate.
It incites violence. Hate is different than criticism. Hate and scorn want to destroy their opponents, shame them, and even threaten them.
We must be intentional about praying to stop the hate brigades.
We must come together as a country…as a Nation under God.
It will begin on our knees!
Let’s address the events on Saturday of the attempted assassination. I am biased.
Saturday was not just an attack against a president but our nation.
This is perhaps the most significant presidential election since Lincoln was elected in 1860.
The reaction after his election by our nation was swift and tragic. Southern states began to secceed, removing themselves from the Union and forming the Confederate states of America. By March 4th 1861, when the First Inaugural was delivered, the rebellion was in motion and the Civil War was inevitable.
This election is perhaps the most pivotal time in history since then. It isn’t Republican vs Democrats
but it’s about the soul of America. I saw President Trump stand up with blood on his face,
pumping his fist, signifying that God is not done with me yet!
Grace abounded with the words fight.
We are in a fight for what America stands for.
Free speech, the unborn, minor children’s minds being told they were born in the wrong bodies and then mutilating their bodies. The fight has already begun to obstruct the ministry of the gospel
but we are near having God’s word honored and respected from the world’s most powerful office.
Trump has been the closest one to do that since Reagan.
Pray for President Trump and Biden. Saturday was a miracle, a providential moment. Even the media is saying that. We know that all things work for the good of those who love and serve the Lord.
But, we know our nation is in trouble as we have clearly turned from God. We are keenly in a fight for its moral and spiritual soul. We pray for a divine hedge around both our Presidents to keep them safe, and we pray for Trump for wisdom and insite. Pray that this will bring him and us closer to Christ
and to a deeper relationship with Him.
America needs God and we need to come together as a family, a nation …for more than a week.
I have lived though JFK, Robert Kennedy, Martin Luther King, Gerald Ford, Reagan, and now Trump, Reagan moved into a deeper faith after the attempt on his life. The Berlin wall fell after that. He acknowledged it as God. Had Trump not turned his head…that bullet whizzed by, we have seen the footage…there is no doubt it would have been his assassination He has acknowledged that it was God who spared him. He always welcomes people to pray for him. I want to be pastoral, and not political.
He has publicly acknowledged Jesus Christ and the sovereignty of that moment. In watching the RNC Convention…I feel I can see a change in him. I have had some near death experiences and they do change you. He exhibited grace under fire. That pumped fist… I Am Alive! We need to turn to God and pray for both Presidents. Ballots – not bullets. Some have asked, how does God spare Donald Trump but not Cory? We don’t have those answers. I don’t know. We could ask that of many people. It is so hard. We need to be prepared at every moment. Life is fragile. Lord help us be ready.
Jan 6th, the constant hatred and elevated propaganda, how do we address that? Is it a symptom? What is the root of it all? Some say abortion has caused so much of this. The world is taking away the sacred gift of life, and trivializes human life. This constant drum beat of distortion, lies, and hatred… this anti-life culture in general is feeding this anger, and the media flames the fire of this hatred. As God-fearing, we don’t believe this life is everything. it will work itself out to the providential will of God. But there are those who worship the power of self exultation, they feel that this is all there is, and the end justifies the means. It doesn’t! But how can you ask a blind person to describe the color red?
I heard one comment suggest because the Democrats want Biden out so bad that he might be assassinated to blame the Republicans and scale down the surge they are getting from this failed assassination. It has not stopped!
The greatest way to move forward is to forgive.
The left needs to forgive what they have been led to believe about Donald Trump.
The Priest who gave the opening prayer in Pennsylvania recalled the story of the end of WWII when Americans freed the Jews in concentration camps. He related that in one, there was a pile of mostly dead children piled high with a note/a prayer on top. (I wish I had exactly what it said, but to paraphrase) “God look upon these children and all of us in this concentration camp and have mercy on us. And give us the compassion to forgive, look upon those who are guilty of these horrific crimes, and forgive them”. Can I look in the face of evil and have a response like that? Could you?
Someone who lived in that camp wrote that.
If we can’t forgive, we are destined to become bitter, angry, and godless.
We must defy this extremism with our ballots, but the rhetoric must come down.
The President literally dodged a bullet and exhibited grace under fire.
We lost a courageous man Cory Comperatore, a man of faith, as he draped his body over his family
to save them.
An innocent man was unjustly lost to this hatred.
This is a time for us to fight.. Not in violent protest but on our knees and praying for all our leaders.
I don’t like seeing our president embarrassed on TV but I must stand with the man who most aligns with the word of God, knowing he will not walk on water or be our pastor.
We need to press our mark and fight with our ballots.
It is said 30% who are said to be evangelicals do not vote. It’s a sin. Lord, you said the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty, to the pulling down of strongholds. We have the strongest weapons that you gave to us; prayer and faith and Gods holy word and our right to vote…
We need to intercede for our country and pray for a revival of freedom to differ, and to disagree but to still be neighbors and Americans. We need to be the light of the world like Cory was. We need a revival…a move of God toward unity among us. It says in the last days He will pour out his power…His spirit. Lord help each of us to take responsibility for the freedom we enjoy.
Hear our cry Lord, let us know your presence, without it, we cannot know your will.
Use this crisis to open closed minds and bring unity through your son Jesus. Help us to see what is at stake. Give us the vision to be holy and do what is right and just in your site. Lord we bind up the spirit of lawlessness and idolatry over America. We break the hold of anger, witchcraft and unforgiveness over our nation. In Jesus Name!
