Strength When I Am At My Lowest!

Perhaps you can remember that moment personally.
Or perhaps you know someone who could really use your help… right now?
What do you do when you get to that moment where defeat has turned to despair and this feeling that nothing is going your way? Life has become impossible. It’s like your scriptures are pounding air. Yes, you know they are there, but you are so tired emotionally that tears find their way out.
What you really want is for someone that you love to hold you as you break down sobbing in their arms and have them tell you it will be alright…
we will conquer this together!

Look those times do happen. We all know them, and God can handle us being real. Being mad… and even wanting to just give up on everything. Jesus experienced that level of pain…that level of despair in the garden of Gethsemane. Luke 22:42. “Father, if you are willing, remove this cup from me.” What does it take for the perfect man to feel that low?.. He came here for this purpose and at the brink of the eclipse of God’s presence. He found a depth of aloneness, of despair so deep that he was sweating blood. So can you think for a moment he cannot know the war that goes on during our deepest moments of darkness?
Then a friend sends you a text. “God gives the hardest battle to his strongest soldier.
Don’t give up. Miracles happen!

And Jesus finished his sentence, dripping in blood, exhausted but to the last minute defying his emotions, his feelings, and his intellect, saying “Nevertheless, not my will, but yours, be done.” Nevertheless Lord. I will obey. Nevertheless… he had faith that God the Holy Spirit would see Him through and raise him from the dead.
And not a single bone would be broken to fulfill the prophesies.

Jesus knew the scriptures, He knew who He was, but that knowledge and truth did not give him a free pass from Good Friday.
But Jesus knew and we must remember we are in not just a battle or war… but a spiritual battle for your life. Eph 6-12 “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand”
You will NOT stand through this battle on your own. Satan wants to do more than disarm you… but destroy you. You must choose who you will listen to… will you let your emotions listen to that spirit of despair and destruction or fight in the spirit to listen and obey what God says?
Not your feelings and fear.

Jesus said in 2 Corinthians 12:9—“My grace is all you need, for my power is the greatest when you are weak.”
Psalm 73:26—”My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.”
Nehemiah 8:10—”Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”
In every season of life, God’s word will build you up, encourage you, and see you through life’s ugliest and toughest battles. I read “An umbrella cannot stop the rain, but it allows us to stand in it.
Faith in God may not remove our trials but it gives us strength to overcome them”

Ps 119 28 says it this way, “My soul is weary with sorrow; strengthen me according to your word!”

Psalm 59:16 “But I will sing of your strength, in the morning I will sing of your love; for you are my fortress, my refuge in times of trouble.”
Ps 59:16 says BUT… or said another way…No matter what may come…No matter how hard it is… Jehovah can be trusted! ” I will sing of your strength, in the morning I will sing of your love; for you are my fortress, my refuge in times of trouble. You are my strength, I sing praise to you; you, God, are my fortress, my God on whom I can rely”.

But I don’t feel like singing.
I don’t feel so loved right now. I don’t feel like I can rely on you right now!

BUT YOU CAN.
Don’t trust those feelings over God’s word. Choose! If you are so blessed to have planted the required seeds to have a friend or accountability partner to call. CALL THEM! POUR IT OUT TO THEM! AND HE WILL POINT YOU BACK TO THE LORD. HE WILL CATCH YOUR BACK… HE WILL WALK YOU THROUGH THE VALLEY OF DEATH HOLDING HANDS WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT.
But I will tell you tomorrow things WILL BE lighter. The joy WILL COME in the morning. Hope WILL come in the morning…maybe not a lot, but enough for the day. Enough to open the book. Enough to take another step of faith. Enough to live again and realize no matter what…Jesus will turn this around for you…It may take time…His time, but we can be assured, that He is sovereign…He was not surprised. He is in control. He loves you. He still has plans for you and He will use this situation as part of your testimony to build up his other children as we say too, “Nevertheless, thy will be done. “IN CHRIST WE CAN DO ALL THINGS!” You’ve got this…only believe!

You say you are weak…But God says you are STRONG!
