Audio Version

God the Holy Spirit is training me and you every day, if we are listening and intentional in our efforts, to discern his voice.  I think all Christians desire that but not all Christians press into studying God’s word to know his word and thus to know God intimately.

I think we would all agree that He uses our experiences to give us insight and direction in our prayers.  Have you ever had these inclinations to pray for someone or about something and then we heard this report that led us to believe it wasn’t just an unction but a leading from the Holy Spirit to cover someone or something in prayer.

I have learned through the years and through scripture that any prophetic gift I have is for the benefit of others, so I can love those around me>

It is still valid and useful for the church today. This is the clear implication of 1 Corinthians 13:8-12 and Acts 2:17-18.

It is a Spirit-prompted, Spirit-sustained, utterance that is rooted in a true revelation (1 Corinthians 14:30), but is fallible because the prophet’s perception of the revelation, and thinking about the revelation, and report of the revelation are all fallible. It is thus similar to the gift of teaching which is Spirit-prompted, spirit-sustained, rooted in an infallible revelation (the Bible), and yet is fallible because of the interpretation by that minister but in most cases very useful to the church.

Wisdom regarding Prophecy

We should have a clear understanding that the prophecy will not be taken as a word of Scripture but as a Spirit-prompted human word to be weighed by Scripture, and by mature spiritual wisdom. For a prophecy to be accepted as valid it should find an echo in the hearts of spiritually mature people. It should be confirmed by biblically saturated insight. And it should find a resonance in the hearts and minds of those who have the mind of Christ and are ruled by his peace. (1 Thessalonians 5:19-21Colossians 1:93:15Ephesians 5:15-17Romans 12:1-2Philippians 1:9-10).

Sundays Prophecy

This is a season for new beginnings. Do not doubt it.  Circumstances don’t matter. Past mistakes are not part of my equation. You are! This time is about you because you have put me first! You have intentionally sought me out in your gloom and discouragement. You cannot outgive me.   Stay strong in your believing walk… pronouncing my word… proclaiming my sovereignty and my right to make things right…to set them straight So look up my child and behold the salvation and strength of your king Be strong in my faith.  I will not fail you. Rejoice for the time of blessing has come for you.  Accept it and receive it by faith”.

I have had a number of setbacks in the last 6 months physically, emotionally and financially that I am still climbing a mountain of doubt, discouragement and faith to rise above them.  Maybe that is your situation too.

Easter Sunday

I went to Raymond James Stadium with tens of thousands of people today for Easter Sunday and I was moved by so many who came to surrender at the altar, their very lives and souls.  Whatever their situation they made the most important decision of their lives by turning their lives over to Christ.  You and I are spending a lifetime walking that out… day by day.

The Holy Spirit gave me a clear encouraging word during praise and worship I am holding onto.  I believe that this word is also for many of you as it pertains to your personal situation.  But I wanted to give you some scriptural support to person prophetic words that you might be strengthened and encouraged as I was.

“Be strong in your faith.  I will not fail you. Rejoice for the time of blessing has come for you.
Accept it …receive it by faith”.

Isaiah 41:10 KJV – “Fear not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand”..
