The Transferable Secret of Christ: From Friday to Sunday

I was inspired by Jimmy Evans when he spoke about how Jesus endured Friday but knew Sunday was coming. So, how did Jesus endure Friday… and still reach Resurrection Sunday?
Hebrews 12:2 gives us the secret: “For the joy set before Him, He endured the cross, despising the shame…”

So, let me ask you—what is your Friday like today?

We all have them. Fridays of the soul. Painful, pressure-filled, hopeless seasons. You might be walking through one now—financial strain, relationship struggles, chronic illness, betrayal, loneliness, fear. But here’s the truth: Friday is not the final word.

Jesus endured because He kept His eyes on Sunday. On the joy ahead. On the victory beyond the pain.
He wasn’t focused on the nails, the thorns, or the crowd mocking Him.
He was focused on you.
On the empty tomb.
On the restoration of all things.
He endured, not because Friday felt good, but because Sunday was coming.

Your Perspective Will Either Cage You or Carry You

We choose our perspective, and that choice determines whether we are overcomers or are overcome.

Discouragement is one of the enemy’s sharpest arrows. Satan tries to trap us in the snapshot of Friday—telling us this is permanent, this is who you are, and this is all there will ever be.

But Jesus, even as He walked the road to Calvary, spoke words of purpose. Matthew 26:54—“How then would the Scriptures be fulfilled?” He could have escaped. But He chose not to. Every step was marked by faith and love. He was saying with His actions, “I am enduring this… for you.”  Have you thought about it that way?  It was personal!

Friday-thinking says:

“It’s over.”
“You’re trapped.”
“Nothing will change.”
“Why bother praying?”

But Sunday-thinking says:

“Resurrection is coming!”
“This pain has a purpose.”
“God’s promises are still true.”
“Weeping may last for the night, but joy comes in the morning.” (Psalm 30:5)

Take Every Thought Captive

Overcoming begins in the mind.  We know that but we must push in those moments to the finish line.
2 Corinthians 10:4–5 reminds us: “The weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds… taking every thought captive to obey Christ.”

Every thought you don’t take captive can make you a captive.

The battle isn’t just outside—it’s in your thinking. Satan came to Jesus in Matthew 4 with thoughts, and Jesus answered each time with scripture. If that’s how Jesus fought, it’s how we must fight, too.

Let the Word become your sword. Speak it. Believe it. Fight with it.

When Satan whispers, “You’re done,”
You declare: “I am more than a conqueror through Christ” (Romans 8:37).
When he says, “God’s not with you,”
You proclaim: “He will never leave me nor forsake me” (Hebrews 13:5).
When he shows you a picture of despair,
You look to the joy set before you—and press on.

The Light Still Shines

What kind of thinker are you—Friday or Sunday?
Even the smallest light breaks through the darkness.
Even mustard-seed faith can move a mountain.
Even one promise from God can anchor your soul.

So don’t quit.
Don’t surrender to the lie of the snapshot.
Don’t confuse Friday with forever.

You are not trapped. You are being transformed.
Friday may be real—but Sunday is more powerful.

And the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead lives in you. (Romans 8:11)

So get up. Look up. Speak up.
Your resurrection moment is just around the corner.

Lord I am believing that June is the month of my restoration  In  _______________ and _____________ (please name them.) June will be a month of taking back what Satan has stolen, it will be a month of restoration of what the canker worm has eaten and taken away.  Financially, relationally,  we declare June is our month  of restoration of the glory of the lord in our lives, which was scattered.

What we lost will come back in his blessings, and his beauty, and what he has said concerning us.  We pull down every stronghold that has stunted the path of God’s blessings.  Lord, forgive me for being so lukewarm in my battles with the enemy.  Forgive me for not taking Sunday’s high ground before now.  But Lord, today is the day we have drawn a line in the spirit.  No More Satan!  Take your hands off of my life,  In ___________ and __________  I take back the authority you have stolen from me, and I proclaim the victory of Sunday.  Of your promises to bless me, my family, and my health and finances.  When you are with me, Lord, NO ONE can stand against me.

So, Lord, receive the prayers and prophetic words of your scripture that June is our month of taking back the high ground in these areas.  June will be our Sunday of believing your blessings are for us, and your protection is upon us to restore what was stolen.  In Jesus’ Name.

We’d love to hear how the Fearlessly Courageous ministry has touched your life or the life of someone close to you.
