ALL IN! Are you?
What does “All In” mean? It’s a good bet? It’s a good risk? The odds are in your favor? So is that enough to make you choose God’s way?
When we talk about God, does “All In” mean anything substantive to you?
What does it mean to trust God? You can’t be “All In” without trusting God. You can’t be “All In” unless you know what he says. He even says, “Test me in this” Malachi 3:10. He put it out clearly. Test me. Obviously, in this piece of scripture, he’s talking about tithing and giving to God. Being “All In”. But it is much broader than that.
So how many of us really trust God? And what is that number? That percentage? Could we say that the degree that you trust in God is directly related to the percentage of “All In” that we give?
OK so no one‘s listening or watching…it’s just you. What percentage of a 10% Tithe are you “All In” for?
You receive a $500 paycheck. Are you in 10% for $50? Or are you a 5% “All In” type of person for $25. Or maybe a 2% person for $10
So can I be hard for a minute? Should we compromise God’s blessings for $25? What is that amount for you to tempt God with? ( I know this is a very unpopular subject but when I pray about what to speak about, this was where He lead me)
If we take his scripture literally, he says you robbed him of $25. I think that if anybody accused me of stealing from them I might just lose it.
So when you think about it, I hold out $25 for myself but I want him to guide me, be my healer, be my provider, be my confidant and advisor.
We pay attorneys, doctors exorbitant amounts of money. But we don’t think often of leaving empty cupboards for our youth programs, and for our pastors or marriage advisors. Am I being too hard?
This is what I know. The closer you get to the cross… to the Lord…the closer to his word…you feel and realize the great void in your heart. The closer you come to the light… the dimmer the darkness. The closer to his goodness… the more clearly we see our badness. The closer to God‘s grace…
the easier it is to give up what we thought we never could.
The closer to faith we come to, the farther away from fear we find ourselves. And I think that’s a big reason that we don’t go “All In” with our giving and our faith. Please let me be clear. This isn’t to shame someone who has gone so far in debt that they can’t give 10%. They are the ones that sincerely can only give 2% or 5% for now. God accepts that with a special grace. The truth of it God knows your heart, your truth, and your reality but wants to lead you into the fullness of his grace. He wants to walk with you … bless you and protect you.

Would you pray for one hour with us this week and ask God about your “All In”? Not just with tithing but giving, loving, trusting, believing, and walking by faith.
