God gave us Worship to Partner with Him in His Highest Purposes

I have always been a worshipper. I would sing, dance, and clap my praises to God. Lately, due to recovering from Covid pneumonia, I get tired easily. Sunday they had a full concert as their message for July 4th. I had begun to sing the words inside without my voice because it took my breath away.
But the whisper within me became a cry bigger than my weakness. It was a cry to sing out! To sing his praises and give Him my all however small it was.
I obeyed a higher voice, a power stronger than my weakness and the Holy Spirit swept over me… blessings… like a rain band during a thunderstorm. Waves of assurance and grace. “As the deer Paneth for the water so my soul longeth after thee.” Ps 42:1 His presence gave power to my physical strength and loosed the spirit within.

It reminded me of the dynamic of worship that we must enter in fully. Spiritually and physically. When a belief is tested it becomes faith. … Faith requires action. In the Christian walk, faith is an action verb. Love is also an action verb. It requires sweat equity. There is no such thing a passive love. Both of those draw us out of our comfort zone.
I looked around me, and I saw the many who just worship quietly, no clapping, no applause, no singing and I thought of our actions of clapping and applauding our God for who he is, and how it releases literal evidence of His Holy Spirit power in and through you and for others.

I do not say this to judge or tear down anyone as I know God will grow us in many areas of our walk with him in God’s time, but sadly many just do not know it. But we must know his words and his will if we are going to do his will. We are to sing to the Lord (many Psalms), shout joyfully (Psalm 66:1 etc.) and even make a “loud noise” (Psalm 98:4 KJV)

It was a reminder to me this Sunday, to trust in the one that is stronger than I. Dare to trust God more fully and dive into his deeper waters. (Those waters I do not know how to swim in). We start with little things, like the songs that I sang ever so softly, and they continue to release more and more of who he is in us.

It’s how we grow. It’s one way He grows in us.

I sat there singing softly, swaying with the music, soaring in my soul, crying out to enter and move closer…to be moved deeper in communion with Christ alone. Moving toward Victory in Jesus. Moving through one small piece of enlightenment, just a little more of his anointing… so that I might draw closer to Christ himself. That meant coming out of my comfort zone. Trusting in him. His word and not my pride, emotions or self-imposed limitations.

If we are called to live out loud, we should also sing out loud.

Lord help me come out of the stands and onto your court of service. Your court of obedience and grace. Help me Lord to worship you in spirit and in truth. Lord help me pray this week that I might be growing closer
in becoming a prayer warrior for you.
