Sundays Prophesy – A 12-year-olds heart surgery this Thursday.

During worship on Sunday, I looked over and saw this couple worshiping. He was quiet but she was dancing before the Lord. I kept being drawn to them. And then I saw her brush a tear from her eye. I felt the Lord nudge me to ask them to come to the altar for prayer. I walked up as the service closed and recognized them immediately. They had come up for prayer before, for their son. I asked if they would come up after service for prayer. They said their son Colton, who is 12, had his heart surgery postponed to this Thursday. They said Pastor Mike had prayed for them earlier. The Lord prompted me to share with them the prophecy he had given me right before he brought them to my attention. Here’s that prophecy
“It doesn’t matter the size of your talent. It isn’t about you. Will you come to terms with that? I am the power, the kingdom, and the glory. It has always been about my Grace, my Salvation my mercy, and my power to change the course of the river. So, change what you’re thinking. Change how you see life and just give it over. Lay it down…give it to me and let me deal with it! Let me be responsible for the outcome. Your choice and your privilege are to draw near me like a chick huddles under its mother’s wing. I am your very breath and courage for the journey. You prove your trust in me by laying it down and trusting in me and my timing. REGARDLESS. I hold you in the power of my right arm. Get over…. it’s too much… or the “what if’s.” Make this about what my word says. It is about me.! It is a spiritual matter!
Come closer so you can see!”
Here was a mother as tender as you could imagine believing for the healing of her son. And the father who stood before me in tears praying for something that was completely out of his control to fix.
I told them there is no love like a mother’s love except the love Jesus has for your son Colton. He holds him even closer than both of you do. And God‘s word is very clear, this is his responsibility and what he asked for you to do is to draw near to him so you can see that. Just lay the burden down at the foot of his cross. He alone is the healer.
I don’t believe this prophecy was just for them on Sunday. I’m not sure what your mountain is or what your impossible situation might be. But his encouragement is very clear. This is out of your hands, and you need a direct intervention by the Holy Spirit himself.
Daniel 3:23 And as those three Hebrew boys said before they were thrown into the fire, even if our Lord does not deliver us, we will not worship your God, He alone is our God. In verse 25 the king spoke in a rage to heat the fire 7 times over and threw them in: “He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God. How could he know that? They came out of that fire without even the smell of smoke on them. Alive.
John Farthing said, “Is there meaning in the meltdown? You bet there is! The good news is that when all that we have accumulated, all that we have clung to, all that we have relied on burns and melts away, there in the heart of the furnace we come face to face with the Fourth Man in the fire—
the One whose name is Immanuel —God with us.”
As you read this today, what is your meltdown? What is your fire?
Immanuel God with us…that IS your hope.
Here is the truth.
God himself…Jesus Christ our Lord, will be there in the center of your firestorm. Hope in him, trust in him. Believe that he is the healing for Colton and his surgery this Thursday and for you. Pray for him so your own burden will be lightened. You know that is so often what happens when we intercede for someone else. I am believing in his miracle and I am believing in yours too. Let me know and I will put you on our prayer list.
He will meet us in the center of the fire.
