DALE BROOKS – PRAYER WARRIORS UNITE WITH ME AS INTERCESSORS!
I don’t know how to say this but we are not where we want to be regarding Pastor's cancer. We are not where we thought we would be. So we are putting out a call to the faithful. To the prayer warriors who know how to pray and turn their hearts to Father God for one of our own. I cannot share the details with you because they are immaterial. We attended our Home Builders meeting tonight at Grace Family Church and I told everyone, in brief, what I am telling you. I asked them to join in prayer and to fast tomorrow morning with us for Pastor Dale.
I find it interesting, that Jesus gave no thought or worry about the disciples as they crossed the sea of Galilee in a wicked storm that had professional fishermen in fear for their lives. Jesus met them in that storm. He stilled the waters and silenced the wind, as he walked on the water to meet them and assured them that when you keep focused on Him … nothing shall separate you from the peace of his son.
Let me be clear, there is no consideration in the Brooks household of anything but complete healing for Pastor. There is no faithlessness, or lack of resolve here… But this is a call to war! A call to fight and intercede in the spirit for one of our spiritual fathers. Pastor is a brother, but he is so much more than that to so many who are reading this now.
I don’t know the tipping point of the faith that is needed to reverse this cancer in Pastor Dale, but I can tell you, I remember the woman with the issue of blood. Luke 8:43-48 She had been to the doctors and spent all her money but no one could cure her. It could easily have been ovarian or cervical cancer. When one has faith as deep and unwavering as this woman's it not only earns God's attention but it also secures His undivided attention. After the woman identified herself, Jesus zoomed in on her. But what makes her story one of victory instead of defeat is the fact that her desperation fueled her tenacity, which ignited her faith! She wanted nothing but to touch the hem of his garment.
IF I COULD JUST DO THAT! I MUST DO THAT!
I KNOW THAT WILL CHANGE EVERYTHING!
My call today is not that I wish you would pray, But I exhort you to pray as you would your very own child or family member. And some may ask, we have been praying. We have kept Pastor in our prayers. What are you asking me, Dennis? The disciples once asked Jesus why they couldn’t cast a demon out of a child and Jesus said, “this kind can come out by nothing but prayer and fasting” (Mark 9:29). Translation: you must pay the price required for the thing you want. I am asking for a time of prayer and fasting for Pastor and his family, from those who have been touched and poured into over a lifetime. I am asking you to tell others who may not know what has been happening.
Pastor is a man who trusts God with his life. He has been here once before and he has lived his life and poured it into the ministry God called him to, even to this day. In his own battle with cancer, he continued his Wednesday healing meetings to teach others the truth about God’s word for their healing and to walk in that strength.
That woman made a decision to get to Jesus.
Jesus was surrounded and protected by the people around Him;
She was ostracized and despised – but still, she got to Him.
He was actually walking away
but she kept crawling towards him in her faith.
You may think Jesus is walking away from you in your storm, but keep crawling towards him. Crawl to your prayer closet.
Crack the pages of your bible often. Pray the word out loud.
Use the example Pastor Dale has always given to us:
Lift us your voice in prayer,
because He inhabits the praises of His people.
You’ve got to say it!
“For she said, ‘If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well’” (Mark 5:28). Whatever your issue of blood is, what we say has a tremendous influence on whether we see God stopping the bleeding. In fact, Jesus said so: “For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says” (Mark 11:23-24).
Jesus said our words matter – a lot. In fact, if we speak pure, faith-filled words, He will back us up.
The Psalmist agrees:
“Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit” (Proverbs 18:21).
I believe there is no swifter way of God hearing our prayers than when we pray and intercede for someone else.
Never say, “We are going down!” but say, “We shall live and not die, and declare the glory of God!”
Never say, “My better days are behind me,” but say, “God says my future is bright and my path gets brighter and brighter!”
The details surrounding where Pastor is right now on his journey are not really relevant. What is needed has been done. A call to prayer, fasting and intercession.
I have no other word for you but … JESUS.
Crawl with me into His presence as an emissary… As a lover of God’s anointed… As a warrior who is part of an army putting Satan on notice! His manipulation and lies end right here! Right now!
Crawl with me as a person whose life has been impacted and changed by the ministry of Pastor Dale Brooks. Make some calls, spread the news that a man and woman…so precious in Christ for their love, obedience, and sacrifice, poured out over a lifetime are in dire need of our prayerful covering.
You have always respected their request to keep your communication going through me as they are protecting Pastor. I love each of you for that and for your prayers. Tomorrow he returns to see the Doctor again.
Pray with me for a different outcome.
Fast and believe with me and keep believing.
