Prophecy – You cannot remain a distant warrior for me!

“Distractions are killing your spirit to seek me – Distractions of the world – Vitals of income – family – meaningful projects have risen to a tempest of distraction. My sanctuary is a private reserve, sacred and holy – but it has become infected like a den of thieves – electronics – children – to do’s –

It has become so loud in you that there is no peace – no quiet time. No sanctuary of worship – Our time has been stolen by the cares and noises of this world. I have critical work for you to do for me – You cannot be distracted – You must stay close to hear my whispers of wisdom. You must repent for these subtle idols you’ve allowed to steal the quiet of my sanctuary. You cannot remain distant warriors – protect the sanctuary of my presence against all the noise of the world. I miss you – I miss our quiet time together – Guard your heart and mind. Protect the sanctuary of my presence against all the noise of the world. Protect the silence of our quiet time. It’s OUR time!
I am jealous for it and for you –
Hear my voice today…. there’s so much to do”.

Maybe this isn’t for you.  I am not a judge.  I just want to be faithful with what I hear.  It is a hard word that pierces me.   The fact that even family… even important necessities are not supposed to be elevated to a higher position than my relationship with Christ.   He calls them justly…Idols!

Whoever heard of a sanctuary that looks and sounds like Grand Central Station?
How can one get their wits about them with the clamor of fireworks that make up all of our lives?  Peace…peace….where there is no peace.

I was looking up the scripture of peace…peace and ran across a short writing in “Got Questions”  that seemed appropriate to this word. Jeremiah was also delivering a very hard word to Jerusalem about Babylon taking them captive and it wasn’t well received!

“Jeremiah was like a doctor delivering bad news to his patient. His diagnosis was that, unless drastic measures were taken, the patient would die. However, the false prophets gave a “second opinion.” “Don’t listen to Jeremiah,” they said; “you are going to be just fine.” Instead of radical surgery and a drastic change of lifestyle, the priests and false prophets said a light bandage was all that was needed. The following passage is found in Jeremiah 6:13–14 and repeated exactly in Jeremiah 8:10b–11:

“From the least to the greatest,
all are greedy for gain;
prophets and priests alike,
all practice deceit.
They dress the wound of my people
as though it were not serious.
‘Peace, peace,’ they say,
when there is no peace.”

“When the priests and false prophets said, “Peace, peace,” they were denying that judgment was on the way. They were giving the people false assurances. The explicit assumption is that Jerusalem and Judah had not committed grievous sins and that God was not displeased with them. In fact, according to the false prophets, God was quite happy with His people and wanted to bless them. They promised “peace, peace!” Unfortunately, their promised peace would not come. The book of Jeremiah bears this out, and, in the end, Jerusalem was destroyed by Babylon, just as God had said”.

We just finished a lovely holiday weekend of family and celebration, and this is a hard word of repentance and finding our way back into the sanctuary of our Lord for redemption, guidance, focus and direction, and true peace.  Being obedient is always hard.  Facing the truth is always a challenge when it confronts us personally.
However, you are taking this prophecy…this devotional… search your heart…what is the Holy Spirit saying to you!  About the sanctuary of God in your life?   Is it there?  Intact?
Or have you allowed the subtleness of idols to take his place by wandering off in your distractions?  He is a jealous God.  This may be the answer to some of the things you have been praying for.  It may be the roadblock that has been holding you back.  Blindness has a way of doing that.  I pray you are listening and that His sanctuary is still truly your private reserve just for Him.
If you need to make some adjustments…Make them in humility…on your knees.
I promise he will welcome you with open arms!
