Still Standing When You’re Worn Thin Part IV

What is it you’ve been waiting on?  Praying for.  Believing for?
There are moments in long seasons of struggle when the language of victory feels distant. You’re frustrated. You’re not advancing. You’re not conquering. You are simply… still here in the same space.
Yes, your still standing. And that can feel like it isn’t enough.
I know you know the feeling. And I guess that’s a large portion of it…my feelings.
That you have heard over and over again.  Don’t trust them…they change like the weather,
but God’s word never changes.
So, examine exactly what you have been standing on.

But Scripture tells us otherwise:
“Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand” (Ephesians 6:13).

After you have done everything… prayed, believed, waited, endured—God does not demand more strength than you have. He calls you to stand.

Standing is not passive. Standing is faith refusing to collapse. Refusing to give up on what you can’t see yet. Refusing to fall into another pity party of discouragement and even despair.  Stop it!

God sees the cost and He sees exactly where you are, but He is working on things you can’t know.  He is preparing things you don’t see.  But HE has the answer you can lean on and trust in…NOW!
“He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak” (Isaiah 40:29).

He does not shame your weakness…He meets you right in the middle of it. And He promises renewal in the waiting…In the Standing!
“Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength; they will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint” (Isaiah 40:31).

If you are waiting today, you are not wasting time…you are trusting. Waiting is the posture God uses to exchange your exhaustion for His sustaining strength.

And here is the truth we often overlook: if you are still standing, it is not because you are strong…it is because the Lord has been faithful beneath you.  You remember the story of the footprints in the sand.  Don’t let your thinking take you to: “I’m alone.” or  This is useless.  I never hear Him.  Grab that scripture like a pit bull and don’t let go, no matter what you see, or hear, or suspect.  Stop the … What If’s.

So if all you can do today is stand…then stand in the faith He gave you.
Stand clothed in His armor.
Stand… held by His strength. You are not failing…You are obeying.

You are not failing…You are persevering.
And in the Kingdom of God, perseverance is victory.

And obedience, in the Kingdom of God… In God Himself…is never wasted.
Now rest in that promise.  Close your eyes and see yourself, with your head in His lap, while he is stroking your hair, just like you did with your kids when they were hurting.
Just Do It!
