Fearlessly Courageous

Stop giving away your power.
The same dynamis power that created the universe—God’s explosive, life-generating force—
lives in us through the Holy Spirit.
Definition: “The word “dynamis” (Greek: δύναμις) translates to “power,” “ability,” and “strength,” and it also refers to potentiality or the capacity to act. It can also signify a miraculous power or a miracle itself. In essence, it encompasses the idea of force, both literally and figuratively.”
That power is in our words. So why do we hesitate to use what God has placed in our spiritual DNA?
Why do we so often give away the very power He entrusted to us—to speak life, call out truth, and shift the atmosphere in Jesus’ name?
Worse, why do we hand that power over to the enemy—to Satan and his slimy, lying cohorts—by allowing toxic thoughts negative defeatist emotions and mental junk to infiltrate our minds and steal our authority? We are giving our power away!
We Don’t Even Realize We’re Doing It
Most of us don’t consciously surrender that power. We just don’t think of it that way. “They’re just thoughts,” we say.
But those thoughts?
They become beliefs.
Those beliefs direct our emotions.
And our emotions fuel our words.
Words that send us off the God-appointed track—wandering backroads of fear, discouragement, and defeat instead of the path He marked out for us.
We treat words like they’re harmless. But these seemingly powerless whispers slowly steal our drive, sap our boldness, and rob us of the moment God had prepared for us to seize.
Like Peter, We Lose Focus
Again and again, we’re like Peter—out on the water in the middle of a storm, or a heavy rain…eyes on Jesus… until we’re not. One distraction, one doubt, one whispered lie—and we look away.
We forget the Word.
We drop the shield.
We abandon the armor that was made to extinguish every fiery dart of the enemy.
We forget that God has already declared who we are:
- More than conquerors
- Heirs with Christ
- The head, not the tail
- Seated with Him in heavenly places
And yet we let the enemy sneak in like a rat to cheese—gnawing away at our confidence, our stamina, and our identity.
But Here’s the Call: REMEMBER. SPEAK. TAKE IT BACK.
I find myself here again—forgetting to use the weapons the Holy Spirit gave me.
Words that build.
Words that create.
Words that align with truth and crush confusion.
God said: “Do not let these words depart from your mouth… meditate on them day and night.”
(Joshua 1:8)
These words—His Word—are our fuel.
They are the air we breathe.
They are how we fight back.
So I echo the psalmist:
“Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O Lord.”
(Psalm 19:14)
Let your words declare faith, not fear. Hope, not doubt. Life, not death.
A Legacy to Live Out –
Jesus left us with more than just stories. He left us a legacy of spiritual authority.
He said,
“If you ask anything in My name… If you have faith the size of a mustard seed… you will SAY to this mountain, ‘Move,’ and it will move.”
Our words are not just sounds. They are a spiritual strategy. They are battle commands.
So stop using them so casually, as if they don’t carry eternal weight.
WinnersToday’s Challenge – How Winner’s Think.
Speak with intention.
Speak with power.
Speak like a son of the King who knows his inheritance.
Reclaim the ground the enemy has stolen.
Declare His promises.
Speak life over your day, your mind, your marriage, your calling.
And watch the mountain move.
Prayer
Father, help me to remember the power You placed in my mouth. Forgive me for giving it away. Let Your Word rise up in me—stronger than the lies, louder than the storm. Teach me to speak like a warrior, to pray like a son, and to live like one who knows who he is in You. In Jesus’ name, amen.
