The Breakthrough You Didn’t Expect
Have you ever felt like a magnet for trouble?
I have. And more times than I can count, I’ve asked the same question… why?
I never really got a direct answer.
Not the kind I was looking for anyway.
Except for this quiet inner voice. This unction that kept rising up:
“Don’t give up trying.”
Don’t give up asking God to help you serve Him better.
To be a better man or woman.
Don’t stop calling on His holy name.
Because in due season, His purpose will be made known.
It’s called faith.
Obedience.
Forgiveness.
Grace and mercy.
So, don’t stop calling His name.
Don’t stop believing in His goodness.
Don’t—whatever you do—don’t.
Step into who you are… and who you were called to be.
You and He are of the same blood.
The same line.
Accepted. Chosen. Called.
So accept who you are.
Do not get stuck in your circumstances.
Do not believe the negativity of your own thinking.
Take every thought captive. (2 Corinthians 10:5)
Step into your heavenly destiny.
Enter into your Father’s love and His acceptance.
Now let me ask you—what does a breakthrough really mean to you?
What does it look like?
Does it have to be deliverance from chronic illness? Cancer?
A monumental marriage separation… suddenly fixed?
Or finally landing the job and income you’ve been desperate for?
Or… did God show up another way?
Did His promise—that He would be near you in the flood,
that He would carry you through the waters…
suddenly come alive inside you?
And you knew that you knew…
He was the answer.
Not just the outcome you wanted…
but the strength you needed.
He was there with a new confidence.
He was there as a new measure of faith.
Mercies—fresh and new every morning.
Faith that lifted you above the fear.
Above the anxiety.
Above the storm you were standing in.
One kind of breakthrough is temporary.
The other is the enlightenment of an eternal covenant…
a promise God gave His children that can never return void.
It’s where you discover the power to hold fast…
and having done all else… to stand.
And when you step into that truth,
when you stand in the power of that promise,
you just know that you know… You are not walking alone.
You have the most powerful Friend and Savior of the universe walking with you.
That’s when you finally learn what it means to take every thought captive
and refuse the negative foothold the enemy keeps trying to plant in your way.
You learn this truth:
The moment God’s Word is revealed, the enemy comes immediately
to bring confusion and try to destroy it.
But this time—you’re holding fast.
This time…you’re trusting in the Lord of Hosts.
“I would have lost heart unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living… Wait on the Lord.” (Psalm 27)
This is a word the Lord gave me the other day:
“It’s not just about getting you through the new year. I am so much more.
Yes, I am the beginning and the end—but as far as the east is from the west, I am more than you have limited Me to.
When your hope and trust are in Me, how can you reduce Me to… ‘I’ll just get you through’?
Let the words of your mouth and the meditation of your heart proclaim My greatness…My blessings, My promises that cannot return void.
I am more than enough.
So, lean into Me in this new season.
Remember—the Bible is not about you.
Your life is about who you lift up…putting me first.
Lift up your arms.
Lift your faith.
Lift your hope.
Believe in who I am…not just what you believe for.
Devour My Word.
Make it your anchor.
Make it your lifeline.
I am eternally more than just getting you through.
Prepare yourself for My blessings in a greater measure than you have known.
I am doing a new thing.
Don’t just get caught up in what you hope for.
Step into what you believe for!
Surrender the last year to Me.
Enter into the peace of My calling
and the fulfillment of the destiny I have prepared for you.”
So this isn’t a message about survival.
It’s about identity.
Not just holding on…
but stepping forward.
Not just asking God to fix things,
but trusting Him to form you.
You were never called to merely get through.
You were called to stand,
to believe,
and to walk with the God who is more than enough.
And if you’re still standing today,
still breathing, still hoping, still calling His name…
then He’s not finished.
Not even close.
