2 Chronicles 31:21 He did it with all his heart and prospered!

I want to share this word of hope and encouragement with you in this time of doubt and fear for so many:

Don’t look at what you’re coming from…look at what you’re going to!

God’s still on the throne. You are not alone. Together we are claiming God’s promises for our families, our church, and for our world.

Finding the balance between Caesar and Christ is the ongoing battle for all Christians. We are torn between bleeding from the overtime of our careers to finding the balance with our families. Our motive is to provide for them, and that requires the highest levels of commitment even to the point of losing sight of that homeport. That sanctuary and the rarest and most treasured piece of fertile ground. Our Family.

2 Chronicles 31:21 “He did it with all his heart and prospered” God doesn’t give harvest to idle man. Nor does he give treasures to those who will not dig in their own fields for them. Although the Holy Spirit will heal our infirmities, he will not encourage our idleness. I believe when we say that we think of the general rule of the moral universe, give all your heart to your careers and be prosperous.

But God would say, let’s adjust that filter of yours. Let’s up your deposits of trust and faith in the supreme owner of the universe. Let us drill down to God’s side of the coin. He said give to Caesar what is his but give to God what is his. By taking that same persevering heart, that same whole-heartedness, and investing in God’s kingdom provides it guarantees a much higher level of return. Its dividends are not quarterly but daily and eternally. We typically serve two masters, the world chants it the earthly calling of “feed the giant” Feed the company so you can be a blessing to your family. But Christ would say,

Col 3:22 Servants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh, not with eyeservice as men-pleasers, but in singleness of heart, fearing God”.

Interesting that he tells us to obey your corporate master but with singleness of heart, fear God first. Because of God give him your finest and you will prosper, “by fearing God” Knowing he is the giver of wealth and health. He is our Jehovah Jireh, “The Lord Will Provide” (Genesis 22:14) our Jehovah Nissi “The Lord Is My Banner”.

When Moses’ hands remained raised, as the banner of God, the Israelites crossed the dead sea with Pharaoh hard in pursuit, but the Israelites remained safe and reached the other side.

It is the same with us as we give wholeheartedly our passion and our earnestness to serve God our True Master. That unleashes God’s promises to do his part to provide. Isn’t he the owner of the cattle on a thousand hills? When we lift up God’s banner…God’s truth… and wholeheartedly serve him, then as our Master and ultimate provider it becomes his responsibility to prosper us.

That may be a battle with depression, anger, unforgiveness, or a battle in our marriage or career? When we serve God “with all our heart He prospers us” He opens doors and windows out of nowhere. Phil 4:19 And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.’

Boil down all your needs to one, and seek that one need! That need is God in our lives. When we have God, He will take care of all our needs because He is our provider. He is the source of life and He sustains it.

1 Samuel 2:8. “He raises the poor from the dust, He lifts the needy from the ash heap To make them sit with nobles, And inherit a seat of honor; For the pillars of the earth are the LORD’S, And He set the world on them.”

He said, your part… Only Believe, and do it with all your heart…
and He will prosper you, deliver you, heal you, raise you and honor you.

Decide ye this day which master you will serve.

Will you not stop and pray with us and your family for one hour this week?
He listens!
