5 minutes – weeks or 5 months of life left.
Sundays' Prophesy
“How much time before I come again? How much time do YOU have left? When was the last time you thought seriously about what you will say to me when you meet me at the throne? Reassess your living! Reassess your giving and loving. Remember your purpose. Remember you are but a sojourner. Know there will come a day when I will call you home. It isn’t just about being ready then…It is about living ready! Finding your purpose and then giving it away. Every moment you have a purpose and a loving. Stop being distracted by the noise…by life in general. But rather share the seeds of loving and appreciation of every moment and every breath and heartbeat. You are missing too many sunrises, too many moments you should be authentically listening and opening yourself to the revelation of those moments with me and for me…as my emissary of love, grace, and forgiveness. I want to grow you in that realization. Don’t come to me with regrets but with the annunciation of my word. And Hear: Come with me you good and faithful servant. I have seen the love in your living for me. Enter into my rest”
“What would you say or do if there were only 5 minutes or 5 days or 5 weeks to live? What? Everything would change. Priorities, time, attitudes, dreams, aspirations. appreciations, regrets, repentance, forgiveness, thankfulness, humility, brokenness. Faith in GOD!
Everything changes. So with that truth in mind, why is it that we can live a life of indiscriminate mediocrity by default rather than being intentional with our responses to heartfelt commitments, intentions, and feelings towards a God we only give relevance to on the fringe of our life?
How much noise does it take to dumb out one word from another word? Knowing the difference between a half-truth and God’s truth.?
Without God's truth – Without his word you cannot even ask the right questions. 5 weeks left? What is going through your mind? I read:
• Why am I still at a job I hate?
• Why am I endlessly running after money?
• Why do I need all these things to live?
• Why do I value material possessions?
• What do I really want? What have I been living for?
• What would be my legacy? After all of this, what is most valuable to me?
• Why are negative people attracted to me?
• Who do I want to talk to and share with.
• Who cares?
Although some are relevant where is God in them? What is your filter? What is the truth of living and our existence? Is it a google thing, a family belief, a distant view of some unidentified supreme being up there?…
What does GOD say?
Luke 12:16-20 “And he told them this parable: “The ground of a certain rich man yielded an abundant harvest. 17 He thought to himself, ‘What shall I do? I have no place to store my crops.’
18 “Then he said, ‘This is what I’ll do. I will tear down my barns and build bigger ones, and there I will store my surplus grain. 19 And I’ll say to myself, “You have plenty of grain laid up for many years. Take life easy; eat, drink and be merry. 20 But God said to him, ‘You fool! This very night your life will be demanded from you. Then who will get what you have prepared for yourself?’
How true is that for too many of us? How have we divided our loyalties between Babylon and Heavenly Jerusalem? So, what will you be searching for with 5 weeks left? Asking about? Seeking? God’s word has always said to live each day as if it were your last…but we don’t.
Are their deathbed conversions? The first recorded deathbed conversion appears in the Gospel of Luke where the good thief, crucified beside Jesus, expresses belief in Christ. Jesus accepts his conversion, saying
"Today you shall be with Me in Paradise".
The realization of 5 weeks is stark and unnerving, but God's promises are ones we can enjoy here on earth.
Psalms 37:3-5 “Trust in the LORD and do good. Then you will live safely in the land and prosper. Take delight in the LORD, and he will give you your heart's desires.
John 11: 25-26 Jesus said to her, 'I am the resurrection and the life. Those who believe in me, even though they die, will live, and everyone who lives and believes in me will never die”.
1 Cor 15: 42-45 "So it will be with the resurrection of the dead. The body that is sown is perishable, it is raised imperishable; it is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory; it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power; it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body."
John 5:25 "I tell you the truth, a time is coming and has now come when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God and those who hear will live."
Roman 8: 38-39 "For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord."
Remember what he said: "I want to grow you in me and my purpose for you. Don’t come to me with regrets but with the annunciation of my word. And Hear: Come with me you good and faithful servant. I have seen the love in your living for me. Enter into my rest”
We can do that when we turn, repent and start living for God intentionally. The Holy Spirit will give us strength and wisdom to live for God.
