Fearlessly Courageous

A NEW YEAR. NEW RESOLUTIONS and A NEW HOPE.
“Behold I make all things new”! (Rev. 21:5)
What’s your plan for 2024 to make things new? God said He has a plan to bless you. Do you know His new plans for you in 2024? Have you asked? What was your assessment of your walk in 2023?
What will you purposely learn from it?
It’s time to tap into God’s Plans for your future, your families, and your church. Monday Febr. 5th your Courageous Men’s group will help you tackle exactly that! Don’t begin this new year with the attitude, these things never work out for me!
Reflect on your year and ASK the Holy Spirit to give you direction to the changes HE wants in your life and dedicate them to Him this year. MAKE TIME! This is important for you. Bring a new friend, they don’t have to go to our church. Use the lobby on Sunday and invite other men to come and join you on Monday nights. Ours is an open door.
MARK TWAIN SAID, “New Year’s Day – now is the accepted time to make your regular annual good resolutions. Next week you can begin paving hell with them as usual.”
BUT, this year can be different.
The promise of being made new, being born again, is at the heart of the Gospel, the Good News! St. Paul reminded the Christians – and reminds every one of us – “whoever is in Christ is a new creation: the old things have passed away; behold, new things have come.” (2 Cor. 5:17)
GK Chesterton once wrote: “Unless a man starts afresh about things, he will certainly do nothing effective. Unless a man starts on the strange assumption that he has never existed before, it is quite certain that he will never exist afterward. Unless a man be born again, he shall by no means enter into the Kingdom of Heaven.”
St Josemaria Escriva once wrote: “For a son of God each day should be an opportunity for renewal, knowing for sure that with the help of grace, he will reach the end of the road, which is Love. That is why if you begin and begin again, you are doing well. If you have the will to win, if you struggle, then with God’s help you will conquer. There will be no difficulty you cannot overcome.’ (The Forge, 344)
Reflect on your year and then close it! ASK the Holy Spirit to give you direction to the changes we have been talking of in your devotions. Go back and answer them….Commit to your decisions to change. Speak out loud your dreams and visions. Rejoice in the Lord and celebrate Jesus every day. Someone said,
“Men Become What They Dream”. Lay out your dreams for His Glory and He will bless and bring his glory and blessings to you every day. Press into the promises of God.
They are yours! Because we are His children.
Happy New Year
