As a follower of Christ, have you destroyed anything evil lately
I found a past prophesy that seemed in tune with what God has been saying recently: "I see a crevice, an Arroyo ahead that man cannot walk over in his own strength. But I saw prayer flooding in to fill the void so he can walk on again. I say only believe and release your faith. Seeing what I see.
Do not falter, do not relent, or rest for life is always just ahead. Only believe!
See… it is I, that is waiting for you just ahead. I have your healing and all you need. I have sent you the Holy Spirit to give you all the strength you need for the journey. It is not you, but I am more than enough. It is my strength that will see you through. So rise up in your faith, encourage yourself in the word and see, really see… the salvation of the Lord. The victory is yours if you can see it".
If we are to succeed in these difficult days it will be in part because we have renounced the seductive limitations that accompany a peacetime mentality.
We must embrace an aspect of spirituality that is unfamiliar to many Christians.
One that is both militant and vigilant towards evil, yet compelled
by the purity and fire of Christ.
The Holy Spirit has been calling the church to rise in intercessory prayer and to exercise spiritual authority. We do not have time to languish in self-pity and life's injustices. In a time of war, we must not be distracted by inconveniences or grievances.
We must possess a war mentality.
The good news is that hell would not be in such a frenzy if Heaven was not advancing. Eph 6:12 remember, "we are not fighting against flesh and blood but against principalities and powers and the world rulers of darkness".
Hebrews 11:3 " things visible come from things invisible".
Meaning whatever efforts we make in the natural realm, our focus and victory originate from the spiritual realm. So we must war in prayer using the word of God as our primary weapon with the blood of Christ as our primary defense.
Although we serve a God of peace he has chosen "to crush Satan under our feet" Romans" 16:20. True peace manifest because we have confronted and overcome our spiritual enemies. The problem is that too many Christians confused peace with passivity
They have a hollow peace instead of a hallowed peace.
May I be direct? Their lives are prayerless and they live in perpetual compromise with heaven's enemies. This is not peace: it is bondage. Look, I understand, that Christians at large struggle with prayer but as we mature in Christ by his strength we will grow stronger. Do not be discouraged with an attitude of what's the use.
The truth is, Christ, terrified the demonic realm. At his approach, evil spirits howled in trembling dread: Matthew 8:29 "have you come here to torment us before the time” Jesus was operating in the war mode and they knew it.
Jesus said in John 14:12 that the disciples would do the work that he did, including those of spiritual warfare. They were trained to function in the war mode; they learned discernment, understood authority, and usually engaged in the fight of deliverance with perseverance. Jesus specifically gave them and us authority in Matthew 10:1 "over all the powers of the enemy". Yet after preparing and commissioning his disciples with his authority, he ministered faith to them, not fear. When Jesus sent out the 70 disciples, they went forth in a war mode.
In Luke 10:1- 20 "They marveled that even demons were subject
to them in Christ's name".
Yes God is a God of love but in 1 John 3:8 it said, "that the son of God came to destroy the works of the devil".
As a follower of Christ, have you destroyed anything evil lately? Have you toppled any demonic strongholds this week,? Have you rescued anyone imprisoned in sin or fear or demonic captivity? The sad truth is, historically, too many of us have neither a plan nor a prayer to see evil truly destroyed. But God has laid out a plan for you to change that by being obedient, bowing your knee, and submitting to his headship. It begins at home.
Consider the heavenly impact praying Christians would have if we all renounced passivity, unbelief, and fear. Paul said the weapons of our warfare are mighty. Imagine if we actually used them.
Will you not stop and pray with us and your family for one hour this week?
