Believe that God Wants to Speak with You.

“ Through Christ and the power of His Holy Spirit,
God wants to speak to you on a One-to-one basis every day. ”

1. Believe …That God Wants to Speak to You
If you don’t believe God wants to speak to you, it’s likely that you won’t hear Him. The key here is that you expect Him to speak. David said, "O Lord, in the morning You will hear my voice; in the morning I will direct my prayer to You, and I will watch expectantly" (Ps. 5:3). Are you watching? Are you listening? Have you really taken the time?

2. Learn the Fine Art of Listening
Many people talk to God but they don’t stop to listen—or they don’t develop listening skills.

I love what 7yr old Bobby said,” Love is what is in the room at Christmas..
if you stop opening presents and listen”.

Jesus said, "He who has ears [to hear], let him be listening and let him consider and perceive and comprehend by hearing" (Matt. 13:9, AMP).
Solomon prayed that God would give him a hearing heart (1 Kings 3:9). Many translations say "understanding heart"

Again… Mark 4:25 “But for those who are not listening,, even what little understanding they have will be taken away”. What a loss. Can you imagine losing your sight, or hearing? That is exactly what Mark is talking about. Would you take this as a wake-up call and change the way you live? How by listening and praying to the Holy Spirit to open your clogged ears so you might hear God every day.

3. Fellowship More With the Holy Spirit
If you want to hear from God more clearly, spend more time with Him and His Word. Paul told his spiritual son, Timothy, "All Scripture is inspired by God and is profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work" (2 Tim. 3:16-17, MEV).

It’s the same truth regarding time with your children or your spouse, isn’t it? TIME is the key. If you haven’t time for God what exactly is so important in your life that he becomes a second thought to your day?
Knowing the Word guards us from deception—and from falling into the trap of listening to other voices or even following vain imaginations. If you seek God, you WILL hear His voice.

You don’t have to be in a quiet room to hear from God. Your soul just needs to be quiet and focused on Him. Let your spirit dominate.
Listen with spiritual ears. You can hear Him!

4. Lastly… Wait on God:
Waiting on God is different than listening for God. God hears as soon as you pray and as soon as you cry out, but you will almost certainly have to stop and be still and wait to hear from Him. The prophet Jeremiah, for example, waited ten days on one occasion before he received an answer to prayer from God (Jeremiah 42:1-4,7 ).
It is harder to wait on God than it is to work for God.
I must say that again!
It is harder to wait on God than it is to work for God.

When you are waiting and waiting to hear from God it is EASY to let yourself believe that He does NOT hear you, or does NOT care. It is a further test of your faith to trust in Him.

Have you ever wrestled with a huge mountain of panic and turmoil and been at the edge of falling to pieces…And Really Needed God?

Then suddenly the still small voice whispered in the depths of your soul,
"Be still, and know that I am God." ??
I have not always known that voice…..But when I am listening that small still voice comes with power, …..
and I obeyed…and By His Holy Spirit…..
I composed my body to be still,
and I CONSTRAINED my troubled spirit into quietness,
and I looked up and waited; & I "knew" it was God,
So that even in that very emergency …..
and in MY helplessness to meet it;…… I rested in Him.
Out of that stillness seemed to arise a power to deal with the emergency, ……. I learned then that IF I had a strength… It was a strength to BE Still.
And wait on God.
Believe In God… To be still
AND know that I know…..that He is God!
