Man Camp Recap Do Whatever He Says to Do Part II Courageous Tonight 7 PM
1 Expect to receive from God. It will begin with you seeing changes in the spirit realm. By releasing your faith completely, believing for those things that are not until they are. We too often buy into our own history and our own failed expectations and set a mental reality of failure before we begin. Stop that.
Change your face and change your focus, change your words!.
How can we wait on God when we’re going at a breakneck pace. But I need to know what to do? I want to know what you want for my kids? For my marriage?. Don’t you think it’s time to stop and listen and expect to receive from God?
Isaiah 30:21. “Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.” He wants to give you direction. But you won’t find it on Facebook or Instagram. Go to the Bible. If you’re broke he will supply all your needs. (Draw nigh unto me and I will draw nigh unto you.) If you’re weak, he will be your strength. He is your all in all.
Is it so hard to just pause long enough to hear the Holy Spirit and then do it?
2. Obey immediately and fully. Attention, Manager to Isle three — family disturbance. (There’s a young child throwing a tantrum. Screaming at the top of his lungs for a toy that he wants). I think it’s a great example of us and God. Obedience is tough. The flesh goes kicking and screaming. That seems to be a far cry from what Mary said at that wedding in Canaan. “Whatever he says – do it! That meant NOW.
OK, this is your moment. Do you feel that God is urging you to join a church group? Start a prayer time? Keep a journal to get closer to Jesus? Is he calling you to something more?
When the servants at that wedding in Canaan were given the assignment, they went to the well and began to fill 6 – 30 gallon cisterns with water. They had seen the backdrop. There was no wine, and this was going to be the solution?
I am certain the disciples were also saying this makes no sense! But they kept filling up the buckets thinking, it seems stupid to me but I will be obedient
So today your frustration is real. The miracle you’re looking for is on the other side of your misery. But God says if we draw near to God long enough…You will find your breakthrough. If you will be obedient, the results are his responsibility.
You take your children to church and trust God will fill them up. What is the bucket God is telling you to fill up? How are you? Will you? What is his assignment?
I am praying for you to pray that through and see that through.
So you might say. OK God, I will change everything but… one thing.
Yes, Lord, I am willing to change anything except this one thing. And Mary said, “whatever he says, do it”. Stop a minute. Pause on your porch.
Let the Holy Spirit tell you about that “One Thing”.
So here’s the question. Who will be so bold? Whatever God says I will do it!
I want you to be one of THOSE… Just stand up, alone if necessary, and Obey!
I am praying for you to say, let me be the one… send me lord! Lord, I want to be the one to give up that “One Thing”. To repent. To pray and communicate with you. To love those around me.
I pray this message will lead you to do something. We all have a next step. What is yours today? I prayed it builds on this one. Tomorrow he will be calling you for a different step to build on.
Let me encourage you to bring other men alongside of you to help you pray and fast for a change and to help you move forward. I guarantee you, that your obedience will strengthen theirs. Maybe today you won’t find or hear the end result but I promise it will help you move in the right direction. Move.
Your intention is nothing unless you follow through. Tell someone. Call someone. Call out to anyone to come alongside. And if you have no one…
