Greater Than — More Than Conquerors

Official Kickoff Tonight – Monday, 8/18 at 7 PM 8:30 PM

Our Grace Family Men’s Courageous Group and Women’s Beautiful Group at our LOL campus.
Food. Fellowship. Faith.  The title today is the name of our 13-week series.

It’s food night and fun night—a chance to connect, laugh, and lock arms as we kick off our new study: “Greater Than — More Than Conquerors.”

Ephesians 4:16 says, “The body grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.”

Rather than share a regular devotional today, I want to challenge you, with questions meant to stir your faith and spark action. Our Small Groups begin this week across all our 8 Campuses, for men, women, for young adults, for teens, and I felt compelled to give you some food for thought. Whether you’re here in America or across the globe, be a catalyst for bringing people together for God’s glory in your own area.
These are great to discuss at home, with your accountability partner, or around your table.

7 Questions to Stir Courage and Connection

  1. Motivating Love in Action
    • In what specific ways can you encourage another Christian to show love and do good works?
    • How have others inspired you to step forward in faith?
  2. Your Growth Story
    • How have you grown and matured spiritually since being in a small group or maybe it was in your last group?
    • If it’s been a while, remember—it’s never too late to start again. We are never too old to grow.
  3. Maturity vs. Infancy
    • How does spiritual maturity differ from spiritual infancy in your walk with Christ?
  4. His Presence in the Gathering
    • Matthew 18:20 says, “For where two or three gather together as my followers, I am there among them.”
If God is everywhere, why does Jesus highlight His presence in small groups?
    • Have you experienced that presence recently? How did you know?
    • Don’t live in isolation any longer.
  5. Your Gifts. His Purpose.
    • What gifts and talents has God entrusted to you?
    • Where would those gifts make the greatest kingdom impact at Grace Family Church—or wherever you are planted?
  6. Serving Together
    • Discuss the serving opportunities below. Which will you choose as a family or group?
(Men’s Courageous, Beautiful, Home Builders, Prayer Team, Ushers, Greeters, 2nd Saturday, Soup Kitchen, Dream Center, Weekend Team, Weekday Team, Student Ministries, Children’s Ministries, Global Missions)
  7. Consistency Builds Community
    • Why is consistency essential for building a strong, Christ-centered community?

Todays Challenge

Ephesians 4:16 reminds us: “The body grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.”

What specific steps will you take to work toward that goal—faithfully, intentionally, and joyfully?

The Power of Showing Up

The truth is, God doesn’t just call us to attend—He calls us to engage. Someone is waiting for your encouragement, your prayer, your story, your smile. You may never know the eternal ripple you create simply by showing up and investing in others.

When we choose to gather, serve, and grow together, we don’t just become more than conquerors—we become a living testimony of the Gospel’s power in a broken world.

So tonight, don’t just come for the free food. Come ready to build something eternal.
Come ready to do your part.

We are stronger. We are greater. We are His…together.

I will be hosting an Online Discovering Jesus 5-week class starting on Tuesday nights
Sept. 2nd, at 7pm ONLINE for people of all ages.  Please send me a note if you would like to attend or know someone who would like to grow their faith. If you have a big screen at home, you can create a time to invite friends or neighbors who would like to join you in a Home Group for 5 weeks. Let’s get creative.
