Only he who believes is obedient and only he who is obedient believes
Esther, the orphaned Jewish girl who rose to become the queen of a great empire, is not remembered because of the splendor of her court or for her eloquence, but for her courage and faith. When the fate of the Jewish people was on the line, she took action at great personal risk to deliver them from death. Today I’m asking you to be an Esther and make a difference for God’s Chosen People. Ester 5:10
Have you ever been asked to do that? Stand in the face of opposition? Stand in the face of those who would shout you down? I believe we all have. How did you do? What was it like? REMEMBER!
Ester was obedient to her faith and trust in God, so much so, that she put her life on the line. She had it all but laid it on the altar of obedience to plead and even conspire to save the life of a nation.
We have been on a mission. We were called to pray in front of “The Storm” God has prophesied is coming. Soon! We may even be in it now! Have you heard the call? Have you believed the call? Have you obeyed the call to pray and to call your family to pray with you?
Dennis, you have been hammering this for weeks. Isn’t there another message? My brothers and sisters, I try to listen to God before I write. I want to be obedient even at the price of being a little pushy or unpopular. If you become the tilt in this battle for revival or another person’s life…what is that worth? How many will be saved? How many out of your own house have been lukewarm or not saved at all. MIGHT BE!
That king may be a boss or a neighbor or a family member who doesn’t want to hear your babble. But God calls us, like Ester, to be obedient and faithful to him 1ST. King Xerxes’ law stipulated that no one could approach him unless invited by him. Those who weren’t were killed. We likewise can’t approach God apart from His Grace so we can come boldly before HIS THRONE.
The king’s heart is in the hand of the Lord. He directs it like a stream of water anywhere He pleases. – Proverbs 21:1
The Lord calls us to be obedient. He is responsible for the outcome. For the doors opening. For your protection and prosperity. God moves the heart of the king. Don’t overstep your role. Obey! Let God be God! When he gives a command. Obey! When he calls you. Come!
Dietrich Bonhoeffer once said: “Only he who believes is obedient and only he who is obedient believes”. Are you really listening? Please listen.
He went on to say: “We must learn to regard people less in light of what they do or omit to do, and more in the light of what they suffer”. There is much suffering among us. Are we suffering at all for the sake of the gospel? It is hard to pray fervently and earnestly. It is hard to push through the battle of the flesh. When was the last time you suffered for Christ?
Pray with me this week. Offer up the sacrifice of praise. Obey God with ME! Release him to do what our obedience will bless him to do. For your sake and that of your family and nation.
Pray with me for just one hour.
