Standing Against the Scourge of Human Trafficking – Drawing a Line in Prayer

I have never written about this travesty before, but there are few evils darker
than the buying and selling of human lives. Human trafficking is not a distant issue…
it’s a global wound and a local reality. Yet God calls His people not to turn away, but to stand in prayer and righteous action. When we lift our voices in intercession,
we confront the darkness head-on with the power of heaven.
Women and girls still represent 61% of those trafficked for sexual exploitation, and the stats are growing, with Florida being the 3rd largest state. 700,000 in 2024, which is 3% of our population. Let me give you a starting number: For every 1,000 people who live in Florida, 32 are trafficked. 32! Did you have any idea the number was so large? Can you even imagine your child or grandchild or sister being kidnapped off the streets here in America…in Florida? But we hear so little of it. WHY?
Intercessory prayer is where God’s people partner with His heart for deliverance. Prayer pierces prison walls that human hands cannot reach. It exposes what is hidden, strengthens those who fight on the front lines, and comforts those still trapped in fear. When we pray, we are not helpless—we are weaponized with divine authority.

Heavenly Father, we stand before You as intercessors for those bound by human trafficking. Let Your light expose every hidden work of darkness. Strengthen those rescuing the oppressed and bring comfort and healing to every victim. Use us, Lord, as Your hands and feet—through prayer, giving, and action. We declare in Jesus’ name: No more! Amen.
