"The days are few. Don’t be afraid when I say that. Be vigilant and bold and share your voice and your faith and be a voice for mein every situation, trial, or catastrophe.Do not be moved by what you are seeing.  Know that the future for you is eternal.

Be intentional, be vigilant, and let not your voice be silent – but with grace, gentleness with boldness, tell your salvation story.  Know you are called and chosen and I am with you in every moment.  Rest in the knowledge I am in control and sovereign over it all.  It will work according to my plan, purpose, and glory – In my time.  Enter into my rest".

Let me be brutally honest.  I sat in church and I heard the first part of the message.  “The days are few”. My first thought was, OH No…I really don’t want to hear this. Are you talking about me? Are MY days numbered?  I have two girls still in college…there is so much I still want to teach them and do for them.  It would not be good timing for me to die now.I settled myself down and took pen in hand and started writing… trusting…and believing that whatever God has for me is what God wants and what he thinks is best for my family.  And then again this word may not be about me but about the times that we are in today.  We teeter on the edge of war in the world.  Fear of the US dollar collapsing, and too many live in this bubble that we live in America…we are not affected by all these things really.

But twice he says in the prophecy to be "vigilante and bold to share your voice in every situation”. And twice to "Be Bold" And then to not be moved by what we are seeing.  I believe he is talking about not fearing but still "Boldly sharing your voice”. What does that say to you?  I think of the many opportunities we get to talk about Jesus and interject what that relationship has meant to us.  Yet we hesitate to offend.  We hesitate to bring religion into any conversation because of you know what!  And I hear Matt 10:33 reverberate in my soul… "But whoever denies me before people, him I will also deny before my Father who is in heaven."  I believe choosing to avoid a conversation is very close to denying it because we don't want to offend or start an uncomfortable moment.

"Be vigilant and bold and share your voice and your faith and be a voice for me in every situation, trial or catastrophe."

Do the end times frighten you?  Do you avoid the topic?  Is it too confusing and or too doomsday?  Did you know that bible prophesies are given to comfort us, not frighten us?  I am one who believes that believers will be rescued in the rapture before all the final days of hell break loose here on Earth.  Do you believe that we are in the end times?  We are approaching the biggest event in the history of all mankind.  The coming of the King!   I don't think we are getting near the end…I think we are in the last days.   But take a deep breath.  God in his mercy did not just leave us with this impending doom.  He gave us peace and hope in the midst of everything that is here now and what will be coming.

Did you know about 30% of the bible is prophetic?  Most of them concern the end days.  I believe the extent of his word on revelation and prophecy is there for us as one of the last generations.   He said in Matt 24:22 "And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened".   These end-time prophecies are given to comfort us and instruct us to not be afraid but to be bold in his service.

Let me close with this parable which are earthly stories with heavenly meanings.  Jesus had told his men in Matt 24 what will happen at the end of the age.  He told them of signs that will broadcast that his return is near.  Then in Matt 25:8 -9  He tells this parable: "Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps and went forth to meet the bridegroom. [2] And five of them were wise, and five were foolish. [3] They that were foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them: [4] But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps".  The foolish virgins went off to get more oil when Jesus came and were left behind. They all took their lamps to meet him.   But the lamp was not enough.  Oil represents the Holy Spirit.  It raises the question are we more concerned about the lamp or what's inside the lamp?

“You, however, are not in the realm of the flesh but are in the realm of the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, they do not belong to Christ.” – Romans 8:9“Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit.” – Ephesians 5:18

"The days are few. Don’t be afraid when I say that. Be vigilant and bold, share your voice and your faith, and be a voice for me in every situation, trial, or catastrophe. Do not be moved by what you are seeing".
