"Nothing is as it seems – so don’t get bogged down or paralyzed by the looks or fear of it. Everything is changing you were called for this time and this season… My purpose, for you is now! – Shine my light! I have prepared you for now- there is a purpose in these trials to refine you more closely to my image. Choose your response! Show my light for all to see. You are moving by my spirit to a new level of faith. A new anointing for the uncertain and unsettling times you are living in. You are my temple. I abide in you. I empower you to my callings. My gifts to you are not just for you,… but for the common good of my people – my church and your family and believers. Keep your eyes fixed – keep your trust grounded in me… and remember I am with you always even to the end of the age. What else could you possibly need? Nothing.! I have a special anointing for you. In the now of your life – embrace it!– seek it!- Let me live and shine through you! You are my temple of light… I believe in you".My daughter took a trip from college to drive from Florida to New Jersey with her best friend. Through Atlanta through Washington DC. – They wanted the experience and all I was thinking about was her driving through the Mad House of these two mega-cities! YUK! But we often have to just trust God and let go.She found out that her old dance troop was doing a show on Michael Jackson’s thriller that she had performed eight years prior. She changed her flight to come back a few hours earlier for $200 so that she could be there to see the last class of graduating seniors that she knew. We were on our way to pick her up and got a text that she had started to land in Tampa, but they took off again. They were trying to land in the tempest of a storm. The captain announced they would give it one more try, and then would have to reroute to Atlanta.
I knew what this show meant to her. And my wife and I, on our drive to pick her up, looked up at the squalls of the weather, the dark clouds, and the wind shears that were causing this, and we started to pray in the spirit and speak in the name of Jesus, the authority that he had given to us.We reminded him that by his word – ''he parted the Red Sea. He called Peter to walk on the stormy waters to him. That Jesus himself had stilled the wind and the rain, and the tempest swarming around him. We remembered in John 14:12 he had said: "that greater things than these, we would be able to do by the spirit that lives within us!" We spoke that out by faith with authority! That greater things than these, we would be able to do by the spirit that lives within us. And we prayed in the spirit, and we commanded the clouds in the heavens, to split, and for the Holy Spirit to still the storm – to create an opening for this plane to land out of his love for his daughter. And as we prayed, and as we believed, we got a one-word text. LANDED!
And I started to weep. I had to let her know that this was not just luck. It was not just a coincidence. This was a direct answer to prayer to bless her and bless us with this evening of family time. I told her that for her whole life more than remembering this last show of Michael Jackson’s thriller… I wanted her to remember that by the power of the Holy Spirit, he made it possible for you to be here!

And I would say to each of you today. Not only has God called our children to be raised in this turbulent time in the world, but he is also called each of us too! He has appointed each of us. He has enabled each of us to perform his will and be his light in the middle of the situations that we’re in. He gave us gifts to live by…TO KEEP US ON TRACK for his purposes. Yes, they are for us, but they are more to be given away. They are for the common good of the body. And our testimony is just that.! Our testimony of how the Lord walked us through the valley of the shadow of death, or this trial,or this craziness that’s happening in our life.
These things are not for nothing. They are to shape us, grow us… and take us to the next level. As we walk from glory to glory, to becomemore like Jesus Christ himself.
He is telling each one of us to lead by the power of the Holy Spirit. To be His light and be His example to everyone in our circle of influence. He is saying here, that he has a fresh anointing during these unsettling times. To keep our eyes fixed on him, no matter what! He promises to keep us grounded, and that He will be with us until the very end of it.
In the now of your life, as a temple of the Holy Spirit, his word to us is to let me live and shine through you. He has a purpose. He has a special anointing for you during this time.
