"Sundays Prophesy" Step out into God This Week.
"When you give of yourself it honors me. It blesses me and I bless you in return with my overflowing abundance. When you enter into my presence with word or deed, I pour out peace, joy, freedom, and light to illuminate your way.
You cannot out-give me. My love is overflowing, unmeasurable and unmovable.
Enter into my presence Enter into communion with your brothers and sisters. Lift up my name and I will lift you above all the darkness that presses in on you. Come dine with me and find the real joy of living. I love you. Notch it up. I’m calling you to higher ground. Hear me. Obey me"
My wife and I are part of the prayer team on Sunday mornings and there was such an anointing of the Spirit of God in that place. People came up this week that were especially broken. One lady poured out that she had just recently lost both her parents. We were all in tears. We return to our seats emotionally wrecked. But what an honor to pray and lead the hurting and the downtrodden in prayer and imparting the confidence and peace of the Holy Spirit… Imparting hope and courage that only God can give in those dire moments of need.
We had over 105 men that came to our first meeting of our Courageous Men's Group on Monday night. And what a powerful time of sharing and getting to know other men. They started on a journey that pulls each of us out of our comfort zones to be vulnerable and transparent to those that are around us. Men who came to grow closer to God and to partner with other men who are willing to walk with them and vice versa.
I am so excited to see so many new faces in our men’s group who are willing to say yes to the call of God on their lives to grow closer to him and to let other men into their lives. Too many of us walk too alone and we bear the spirit of loneliness and even despair at times. It’s so moving and so humbling to watch. Each of us carries our own pain, our own hurts, and our own disappointments. But God has a plan for each one of us if we will just be obedient to his calling. If we will just be obedient to step out of our comfort zone and to join with fellow believers who want the same thing that we do. Men that are looking for God in their lives and not just another six-pack on Saturday night to lose themselves in.
James 5:13 says it clearly "Is anyone among you in trouble? Let them pray. Is anyone happy? Let them sing songs of praise. 14 Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. 15 And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven. 16 Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a
righteous person is powerful and effective.
17 Elijah was a human being, even as we are. He prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years. 18 Again he prayed, and the heavens gave rain, and the earth produced its crops.
19 My brothers and sisters, if one of you should wander from the truth and someone should bring that person back, 20 remember this: Whoever turns a sinner from the error of their way will save them from death and
cover over a multitude of sins".
I heard men talking tonight about where they have fallen short and how they had fallen away from God and church but they wanted to come home. They wanted to come back. They heard the call and tonight they obeyed. I encourage each of you this morning to step out of your comfort zone and do something for God. Get involved in a small group or your church, say yes to God… in some way to get you moving off of dead center. Say Yes! By being obedient in even a small way you’ll find that you can’t out-give God and he will show up in a bigger way in your life. I pray for you tonight that you would find new courage and New Hope right now!… this week, in Jesus' name. Amen
