I ran across a prophecy the Lord gave me and it ministered to me.  I hope it does to you also.
Whatever burden you’re carrying, let me encourage you to take them to the cross.  You have already done what you can.  Now leave it to Father God .

“Don’t be afraid. Remember the old days. I was there for you. Make time for me. Isn’t it I who makes the way? It has never been about you or your abilities. The blessings and success always comes from me. Surrender your soul. Give it up…lay it down and see my salvation. See my blessings.
See my promises fulfilled to a next level.

Make time for me. Seek me out. Be the prayer warrior I have called you to be. Stop resisting. Stop procrastinating and enter into my presence and I will reveal to you things to come.

There is no other resource you need. Stop walking on crutches and run to my beckoning. Run to the wisdom of my holy word. You said I can’t keep going this way. I agree. Are you ready to take the next step and seek me first? Then just do it. Commit to me. Pray to me. Surrender your burdens to me and begin to live in the freedom and power of my calling”.

As I stop a moment to think about this encouraging word and my life in a snapshot.  I have a lot going on.  The cares financially, emotionally and physically are many.  And as much as I love and adore my spouse and close relationships, I know the stress of it affects how I express my love and appreciation.  Inside I know Jesus doesn’t want me carrying that burden.

John 16:33 says it clearly; “In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.” “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

Jesus is the potter and we are the clay. Romans 9:19  What does that mean to you?  We all share one common goal.  The Holy Spirit is looking to make us more like Jesus Christ.   He does that by the renewing of our minds.  He does this by the conviction of our sins and leading us thru o temptation.  He cleans away the dirt and debris of the world so that we can bear good fruit.  Gal 5:22-23 It’s a process called sanctification.  It’s the process of peeling back the worldly layer of the world, our sinful habits, so he can lead us into holiness.  Leading us to godly characteristics.

Power: 2 Timothy 1:7 encourages us: “For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.” He empowers all of us to be effective witnesses.  Self discipline enables us by the Holy Spirit to follow through on God’s will and to have wisdom in all that we do.

Truth: The Holy Spirit is “The Spirit of Truth” John 16:13-15 “However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come”.  I pray you are listening.  He does that primarily though Gods word.   The word that is a lamp unto our feet to illuminate the dark areas of our lives and then gives us a clear vision to walk and talk and be confident in his calling.  Corinthians 14:33 “For God is not a God of confusion but of peace”.

Romans 8:14-16 says “For all who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God. So you have not received a spirit that makes you fearful as slaves. Instead, you received God’s Spirit when He adopted you as His own children.”

The conviction of sin:  Sometimes our burdens are of our own making.  We have opened a wrong door.  We’ve taken a wrong path.  We are in such a hurry to get things done.  To succeed.  To be accepted and admired that we move without council.  Without God’s direction or confirmation from someone more mature than we are.  That’s why we need mentors and accountability partners.   Conviction is your best friend.    If we don’t have those feeling what is there to stop us from going the wrong way.  As John 16:8 says, “And when he comes, he will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment.”  That typically occurs before the sin occurs.  Sure it may be a thought and an all out temptation.  Now it our responsibility to say NO to respond as Jesus would and close that door.

The Holy Spirit is the revealer of all truth.  He leads us to the Bible.  Now that Jesus is risen, he sent the Holy Spirit to take on the role of empowerment and all wisdom to reveal Gods word and how it apply ’s to every situation in your life. 2 Timothy 3:16 says that “All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right.”

God the Holy Spirit unites God’s people:  Acts 4:32 says: “All the believers were united in heart and mind. And they felt that what they owned was not their own, so they shared everything they had.” God calls us together to be united in him and in community.  We need each other.  We each have gifts god gave specifically for the building up of the body of Christ.  The Church.   He will actually put love in your heart for these new brothers and sisters.  There is power in numbers.  There is power in church to stand together and grow together. But we need to trust God and step out in faith and commit to Jesus and this new family he has given us.

In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”
