The Prophecy of being left behind!
It was an interesting word the Lord delivered today. I had an incredible experience at the Man Event at Grace Family Church this weekend. It was such a high! I started to examine this season I’m living and I thought, what a wonderful time I am in right now. What an incredible season. My marriage is incredible – My Ministry is rich and fruitful – My kids are doing well – Work is over-the-top good – God has blessed me abundantly and the horizon looks like more of the same. Yet I know from experience we are either coming out of trouble… In the heat of it…or coming out of it… almost all the time.
So what is this all about?
Here was the word the Lord spoke Sunday morning during worship.
“His plans for you are magnificent – get ready
My Grace is here to empower you to another level – Prepare for it!
My love wants to lead you over the mountains of confusion and compromise in your life – humble yourself!
You can’t go where I’m calling you to go alone –
Be accountable
Be transparent
Be vulnerable
Be humble… Don’t be resistant or hesitant, the time is now – Prepare yourself
Or be left behind”.
I have read this a dozen times. I would encourage you to do the same and drill down on what the Lord is saying to you personally and take it to heart. He said to draw nigh unto me and I will draw nigh unto you.
1. So how do we Get Ready?
2. How do I – Prepare for it?
3. How do I – Humble myself?
4. And you can’t go alone! Who am I supposed to go with?
My contemplations looked something like this:
I pray that you press in your own way.
1. We spend more time with God. We need to better guard our time with God. Hold it in higher regard. 2. Be Prepared: I see these are really interwoven together. Be focused and intentional in my reflection of that quiet time and bible reading. Keep my journal on what I am hearing and asking God questions about. Be reflective and be intentional in taking the time to listen.
3. Humble yourself: I think some fasting and deeper focus on the things of God. Serving…this is not about me. What is the intentionality of my fruit?
4. Don’t go alone: We are so quick to pull back and be private and isolated. I know this piece is critical for the future. Something inside of me is saying do not neglect this piece. What does that mean to you? Who is your accountability partner? I mean really? The one you have given the tough questions for him to ask you. The permission to press in on you and your plans for the prophecy above and what that looks like in your Spirit Walk.
Be accountable
Be transparent
Be vulnerable
Be humble…
We know all these words, but are we walking them out in our lives before God? Are they happening every day? Or are they just feel-good words for Christians who are in a pretty good place? I’m Good! I’ve got this.
But he finishes with a warning!
Don’t be resistant or hesitant, the time is now – Prepare yourself
Or be left behind”.
I think there are times that we just don’t want to miss it. Prepare Yourself!… or be left behind.
Meaning?
We miss the blessing, we miss the mountain top! We play church vs giving ourselves a deeper perspective and insight into God’s love so we can spread it abroad on our way over the mountaintop he is declaring is before us And preparing for us by His divine grace. Something of his making, not ours.
Or be left behind! he is asking us to do something for this. He is asking us to give ourselves away for His name’s sake. Are you ready or is this just another reading that will get lost in the noise of your world?
Lord help us to listen to you today. Lord pour out your grace so that I might do all this in your name. Not by might or power but by your spirit…saith the Lord!
