Fearlessly Courageous

Why Did The Exorcist Movie Make Us Uncomfortable?
I had a discussion a few weeks back about dealing with the physical attacks of Satan. I shared that I didn’t hear a lot of talk these days about demon possession or even spiritual oppression and the warfare needed to take authority. The New Testament was ablaze with issues and training for casting out demons. It was a norm back then. Even in Revelation, it is all about imagery and the strategy of the evil one, Satan, to bring it… even to the final trump!
Let’s face it… That's uncomfortable!
I read recently, that Satan has been watching our game film. He knows who you are and knows your soft underbelly and he is coming! Even after Jesus rose from the dead it says in Luke 4:13
“He left him until the next opportunity came”
We are that next opportunity! Look, I know talking about spiritual forces and demons is uncomfortable, but as soldiers, we are called to do battle. He tells us to take authority! Put on the Armor of God. Eph 6:10 Take up the sword of the spirit! And what? FIGHT! FIGHT! With the weapons, He has given us. We are talking about sonship. Walking in the power of being an heir with Christ. Taking authority over our homes, careers, and marriages.
I believe that everything physical is first spiritual. That the battle you are waging with your health or teenagers or spouse or this relationship or another is NOT with them. It is with this oppressive spirit that has his hand on them or the situation. That is where the fight needs to be.
IN YOUR PRAYER CLOSET. .. THE WAR ROOM!
Come on you sons and daughters of the Most High God!
We are heirs to a kingdom. He said we are walking in heavenly places. But sometimes it feels like hell. He said to look up. Encourage yourself in the Lord. Be strong and Courageous. He has won the final fight, but He looks to his children… His sons and daughter to pick up the sword, put on the breastplate of righteousness, and FIGHT. Be prepared for the blood and until we start fighting… the blood, the confusion, the division, the hurt is only ours. We are coming into the holidays. Let’s take it to him and take authority in the name of the name above all! Jesus Christ our Lord.
Your meditative scripture: They are like a lion hungry for prey, like a fierce lion crouching in cover. Psalm 17:12 What is that saying to you?
Father God, it is only what I see you do… Only with your direction and power, that I can do… All things through Christ who strengthens me!
