10 Ways to hear God 7 "Dreams" – Part 3
7. Old men will have dreams – Act 2:17
There are people that God speaks to in dreams. To some, it is a gift. To others, it’s a nightmare or late-night pizza. 😊 I think the average person has to be very careful about making decisions based on a dream or something that they think they saw. I may have a dream, and keep it to myself, until God confirms it. Be humble & not cocky.
Genesis 37-1 Life of Joseph. He had dreams and his family hated him for it. Even his Dad rebuked him but it didn’t change the truth of those dreams.
I believe Men who dream… become builders.
You may say I have never had a confirmed God Dream.
But I believe you have and didn’t know it.
God often gives them to us as “the desires HE puts in our hearts”. I think a desire can be a dream. He said in, Psalm 43:4 I will give you the desires of your heart. He will give you what?
In Hebrews 12:2 it says, “he is the author and finisher of my faith”. He will finish what He authors but He is NOT obligated to finish what He did not author. We have ideas and concepts that we think are good and we fail and pray God to bail us out.
But God didn’t author them and so doesn’t have to finish them.
God authors the desires of our heart, when HE gives them, AND WE submit to HIM and cooperate with the Holy Spirit in our life. THEN He will finish it.
Some of us…”YOU”… have Stuff… that was really God authored stuff, maybe in business or kingdom of God stuff, that He put there. But we have crushed it. You thought it was YOURS and NOT God’s and ignored it. Talked it down.
But it was NOT yours it was one God put in your heart. Some people don’t do it because they felt it was their own ego. But God created our EGO…. It is part of what God created in us as men. David, Solomon, Moses, Paul, and Pastor Mike all have egos.
We just need to sanctify them and do great things for the glory of God.
Say Out-loud… God is going to do great things through me!
Some of you have some of those desires or dreams, that you have crushed. How many of you would like that dream/desire resurrected by God today?
Repeat after me:
I bring my ego to you lord, sanctify my dreams and desires.
I ask the Holy Spirit to use me to do great things.
Lord, I want to be used by you.
Lord inspire that in me again or give me a new dream in my heart,
ordained by you. In Jesus’ name.
We will explore 8 9 10 next week as we press in to hear God speak to us. But through any of the mentioned means, it requires time in His presence. Time to listen, not just to pray. Time to be still and wait on the fullness of the spirit to speak and guide you, however, He chooses.
Please continue to pray for my Mom Adell,,, She is living by faith fighting pneumonia and we must build a hedge of healing and protection around her. Remember Pastor Dale Brooks as he awaits results from Moffitt Cancer Center. We need complete healing for these two mighty people of God.

You will hear his voice. Then be obedient!

This entire series came from several areas of research I did on “Hearing God” many years ago and I honestly can’t list where that was, so please forgive me.
