10 Ways to hear God #10 Journaling – Part 5

10. Journaling: Before you begin. I know. we guys are not so great at reading let alone journaling. Come on. Write about my feelings? About what I think God the Holy Spirit is saying to me? Man, I just can’t see that!

It is time you let it sink in that you are living a natural life. Jesus said unless you are born again of spirit you will not know eternal life. Is that true? Can you let that reality sink in? Do you think you get a special card saying you are different and you can get in on your own merits? We have to wake up and smell the roses here. It is God’s way or the highway. God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He changeth not! It’s time you pray to ask that he remove the scales from your eyes so you can see the Spirit World. The higher things of God. They have always been there waiting for you.
How long will we be so stiffnecked that we will not listen?
Tell me, is there some pill you know of for stupid?

Journaling: This is simply sorting out your thoughts and God’s thoughts. All of the Psalms and Revelations and the prophets were written that way. They wrote down what they heard and saw! If they had not been written down how would we know or remember? How could we pass on those communications with God? God does and will talk to you in journaling. But you must find a quiet time when you are fresh. (morning is best for me) Go to bed 30 min early and get up a little early… (I know another sacred cow!)
God’s grace is sufficient! Write down your communion with God, your dreams, their interpretations, visions, and images the Lord gives you. Events that mattered or troubled you.
BE TEACHABLE HERE. LEARN TO TRY NEW THINGS.
Don’t think you know it all or won’t or can’t ever change.
(does that sound like God talking? (NO)

If your thoughts or journaling experiences are destructive or pull you down emotionally, you are connecting with the wrong spirits. Reach out to a mentor or coach to help you… Don’t look so surprised; depression, discouragement, anger, lust, filthy language, are all spirits. Take Authority, bind them, AND loose the Holy Spirit. This is Spiritual Warfare… Use the weapons God laid out for you. If you don’t know much about them…drill down. Do a word study. Really study Ephesian 6 and learn. He has laid it all out for you. Pick it up!

Can I read you a couple of examples from younger teenagers?

1. Good morning Lord, I love you, and I give you my day. What would you like to speak to me about? And write down what you feel or sense.
2. How do you see me, Lord? Do you love me?
3. What things keep me from moving forward in my relationship with you? How can these best be dealt with?
4. Lord are their people I need to forgive and release more completely than I have.? Listen and you will hear that quiet small voice, trust it. Just write it down.

Here is an actual one from a seven-year-old. Why do you love me so much? Answer: (because you are my child)
Lord is there anything you want to say to me? ( Yes, something very important. I love you very, very much)
Is there more you want to say today? (NO) Thank you, Lord, for all you have spoken to me. Goodnight. She wrote in her second journal. Dear Lord God, Thank you very much for helping me journal last night. I have a question. Why did you say.. let the little children come unto me and forbid them not for of such is the Kingdom of heaven? (Because I am their Savior and I love them)

Her father joined her and they read Mark 19 13 – 15. She tried to picture the scene of Jesus with the children and see herself present in the scene in whatever way she would appear. This is what she recorded. I am sitting on Jesus Lap. He has on hand on my shoulder and the other around my waist. He said, God bless you, It felt very good. Signed… Charity.

Lord help me to begin this journey of asking questions and expecting answers. Lord help me through this mental roadblock I have about things like this. Help me change Lord.
