Are You Ready? No Mulligans in Eternity
“So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.”Matthew 24:44

The Call to Be Ready

How can we not be thinking about the End of the End of Times?

The headlines are screaming. The nations are trembling. Yet, most of us are still distracted.

Whether you believe we will be spared from God’s wrath or not, that is not the issue.

The issue is Are you ready?

There will be no mulligans. No second chances. No do-overs. Everything about your eternity is on the line.

Your opinion won’t matter. Your spouse’s opinion won’t matter. Your enemy’s opinion won’t matter.

Only God’s righteous judgment will matter.

When deadlines approach, we typically pull all-nighters, we call in backup, we panic to get it right. But this deadline—the end of this age—comes with no emergency extensions. The help we needed has already been provided. Through Christ. Through His Word. Through the warnings He lovingly placed in Scripture.

Sadly, many of us have settled for a faith that won’t survive the test of true salvation.
Jesus said:
“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven.” (Matthew 7:21)

The Gog and Magog War: God’s Plan Unfolding

Bible prophecy is not vague. God gave us specific names, nations, and events to watch.

Ezekiel 38 and 39 describe a coalition led by Persia (modern-day Iran), Russia, and Turkey that will come against Israel.

But this isn’t just a political rebellion—it’s a satanic strategy.

The world will marvel at Israel’s survival, but it won’t be Israel’s military that wins this war.

“But God” – It will be God Sovereign Hand and the fulfillment of another of His promises.

He will send earthquakes, rain, hail, and fire. (Ezekiel 38:22)

Why?  He will magnify Himself before all nations. (Ezekiel 38:23)

God fights for Israel not because they are mighty—but because He is faithful.

Iran’s Story: Judgment and Mercy

God’s word concerning Elam (a part of modern Iran) is sobering., In Jer 49:34-39 a declaration against Elam (or Elamites) found over 30 times in the bible.  Elam is one of the sons of Shem, making him a grandson of Noah. Jer 49: 33-39 is the longest single passage about the judgment of Elam, but it ends with hope: “Yet I will restore the fortunes of Elam in days to come,’ declares the Lord” (verse 39).

Even on the day of Pentecost (Acts 2:11), Elamites were present to hear the wonders of God in their own language. God’s mercy reaches beyond borders—even to His former enemies.

“Parthians, Medes and Elamites; residents of Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia” all heard the gospel that day.

But it says, nations that do not submit to the authority of God… “will be scattered to the 4 winds” meaning a universal and overwhelming force of destruction… but look… in the final verse. “In latter days I will bring them back”.  Jer 49:39 teaches us God is Judge AND Restorer. Just and Merciful.  ( I too, have a hard time getting my head around that…But His ways are far beyond our ability to fully understand as we look through a glass dimly. But Isaiah 19:23-25 I think, pertains to the end-time prophecy, perhaps during the millennium and the establishment of God’s kingdom on earth where he has gathered a remnant that would include Iran, even from opposing forces who will join in worshiping the true God.  People who have come to believe in Jesus.

Isaiah 19:23-25 hints that one day, even Egypt, Assyria, and other enemies will worship the true God alongside Israel.  God’s justice and His mercy will be on full display.

Sorting Out End-Time Confusions

Many are confused about the details of end-time events. Here’s a simple breakdown:

Tribulation vs. Wrath

Tribulation: Talks about everyday trials believers face now (Romans 12:12). (Heb 10:36 They are a normal part of Christians maturing in Christ.

God’s Wrath (The Great Tribulation):  Speaks of a future time of judgment unlike anything before (Matthew 24:21). is often interpreted as the last half of a 7-year tribulation period, characterized by intense suffering, the rise of the Antichrist, and God’s wrath on a global scale.  It is a unique future event, unlike anything the Earth has ever seen or will see.  It is this Wrath that I believe God will rapture his church from. (from vengeance (21:22) and Wrath 21:23).  It is an entirely different level of Tribulation, clearly two different periods of (Thlipsis) vs 9 is what is characterized as the Church Age –  (which we live in now).

But, 1 Thessalonians 5:9 says we are not appointed to wrath.

Rapture vs. Second Coming

Rapture: Christ comes FOR His church (Luke 21:36, Matthew 24:40-41).

The Rapture ends the church age.  There is a time before starting the tribulation.   Some say that during the first 3.5 years, they will rebuild the third temple. The Dome of the Rock

Danial 9;27  The Antichrist treaty.  The Magog battle happens when Israel is at rest, that is not today, but  during the early part of the first 3.5 yrs.

Second Coming: Christ returns WITH His church to reign. Please notice the distinction of FOR and WITH.

Pre-tribulationLinks to strengthen the pre tribulation rapture.

  • The one shall be taken, and the other left.  Matt 24: 40-41 to the event of the Rapture
  • Links the escape/rapture to what Jesus speaks of in Luke 21:36 to the church and the time of the rapture.
  • Links Christ’s return as a “Thief” to the time of the Rapture and the beginning of the “Day of the Lord”. Joel 2:1-2, Is 13: 6-9. 2 Peter 3:10
(For those who wish to dig deeper) The Rapture links the opening of the 7th seal as taking place on the same day the 6th seal is opened.

Imminency: Why We Must Be Ready

The Bible tells us Christ will return like a thief in the night. There are no more prerequisites before the rapture.  It could happen at any moment.

Signs We Can See Today

There are three signs that precede the Gog and Magog invasion:

Israel Regathered: Fulfilled in 1948.

Israel at Peace: Ezekiel 38:11 speaks of a peaceful, unsuspecting Israel. This is still unfolding.

The Rise of Gog’s Coalition: Iran, Russia, and Turkey are already politically aligned in ways that mirror Ezekiel’s prophecy.

Some scholars believe the Gog Megog war and their biblical destruction may even create the power vacuum that allows the Antichrist’s quick rise to global leadership.

The Antichrist will rise after a great falling away (2 Thessalonians 2:3) and after the restraining influence (the Holy Spirit in the church) is removed.

God’s Purpose in All This
Why does God allow these terrifying end-time events?

To make His name known.
“I will magnify Myself and sanctify Myself, and I will be known in the eyes of many nations.” (Ezekiel 38:23)

God’s purpose in prophecy is not just to warn us—it is to glorify Himself. He will show the world that He alone is God.

The Heart of the Matter
We may disagree on the timing—pre-tribulation, post-tribulation, or somewhere in between.

But one truth stands unshaken:

Jesus is coming back. And we must be ready.

The question is not when but whether you are ready.

Reflection Questions

Am I living like I truly believe Jesus could return today?

Have I trusted in Christ—not just with words but with my life?

Am I ready to face eternity with no mulligans, no second chances?

Closing Prayer

Lord, awaken my heart to the urgency of the hour.

Help me not to be distracted by lesser things.

Give me the faith, the boldness, and the readiness to meet You with joy.

Teach me to live with eternity in view—because nothing else matters more.

Amen.

And until the final word is written—we pray.

Lord I am believing that June is the month of my restoration  In  _______________ and _____________ (please name them.) June will be a month of taking back what Satan has stolen, it will be a month of restoration of what the canker worm has eaten and taken away.  Financially, relationally,  we declare June is our month  of restoration of the glory of the lord in our lives, which was scattered.

What we lost will come back in his blessings, and his beauty, and what he has said concerning us.  We pull down every stronghold that has stunted the path of God’s blessings.  Lord, forgive me for being so lukewarm in my battles with the enemy.  Forgive me for not taking Sunday’s high ground before now.  But Lord, today is the day we have drawn a line in the spirit.  No More Satan!  Take your hands off of my life,  In ___________ and __________  I take back the authority you have stolen from me, and I proclaim the victory of Sunday.  Of your promises to bless me, my family, and my health and finances.  When you are with me, Lord, NO ONE can stand against me.

So, Lord, receive the prayers and prophetic words of your scripture that June is our month of taking back the high ground in these areas.  June will be our Sunday of believing your blessings are for us, and your protection is upon us to restore what was stolen.  In Jesus’ Name.
