Facing Your Giants and Preparing for Rain

What are the giants you’re facing today? Be honest with God.
Is it finances? Health? Relationships?
Maybe it’s something that’s kept you from a deeper walk with Jesus, and you can’t seem to break through. Or perhaps you avoid thinking too deeply about it because it feels too heavy to carry.

But let me ask you: What is impossible for God?
Scripture reminds us again and again—nothing is impossible for Him. And yet, so often, we live in doubt, fear, and anxiety, paralyzed by what seems overwhelming.

The truth is that our world has compromised the Word of God. Man’s traditions and empty religion have crept into the pulpit. The results are plain: generation after generation is walking away from the church because the foundation of faith and trust in Jesus is missing.

But God calls: Repent. Return to Me. Prepare for rain.
What does it mean to prepare for rain?

It means planting seeds of faith, watering them with prayer, and trusting that God will bring the harvest.
It means believing His promises, because nothing is impossible for God.

Think of Elisha. When surrounded by the king’s army, he prayed for his servant’s eyes to be opened,
and suddenly, the servant saw heaven’s chariots of fire surrounding them.
God goes before us. He opens our eyes. He calls us to trust Him, promising His presence in the fire and through the fire.

So where is your faith? Have you asked him to open your eyes and increase your faith?

  • Hebrews 11:6 reminds us: “Without faith it is impossible to please God.”
  • In His own hometown, Jesus could do few miracles because of unbelief (Matthew 13:58).
  • The disciples failed to cast out a demon, and Jesus told them it was because of their lack of faith (Matthew 17:19–20).

But I see preparing for rain at yet a deeper level, too.
Because the spiritual rain should be seen as a person, as Christ, and the anointing of his presence in a very personal way in our lives.

I believe it also brings abundance: just as rain replenishes the Earth, God’s spiritual rain replenishes believers from the inside out, leading them to deeper faith, spiritual growth, and a more trusting relationship with God at a new level.

  • Pray and fast to remove the “rocks” that block God’s work.
  • Obey and submit to the Spirit’s leading.
  • Repent from lukewarmness and turn back fully to God.
  • Study His Word daily, because faith comes by hearing the Word of Christ.
  • Walk in community, not alone, because even Jesus sent His disciples two by two.

Listen again to God’s question:

  • “Is anything too hard for the Lord?” (Genesis 18:14)
  • “Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there anything too hard for me?” (Jeremiah 32:27)

Preparing for rain means readying your heart. Till the ground. Plant the seeds. Water them with prayer. And believe—truly believe—that nothing is impossible with God.

So I leave you with this question: Are you ready to face your giants and prepare for rain?
Will you trust God fully, not only with your giants, but with your very life, believing that He is able to do exceedingly, abundantly above all that you could ask or imagine?

It starts with faith. It starts with saying, “Yes, Lord, I believe. Nothing is impossible for You.”

Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, acknowledging the giants in our lives—our fears, our doubts, our struggles. But Lord, we also confess that nothing is too hard for You. You are the God of the impossible, the One who goes before us and fights our battles.

Open our eyes, like Elisha’s servant, to see that we are surrounded by Your power and Your presence. Teach us to prepare for Your rain—by planting seeds of faith, watering them with prayer, walking in obedience, and turning from anything that keeps us lukewarm.

Lord, we ask for a fresh outpouring of Your Spirit in our hearts. Revive us. Renew our faith. Strengthen us to stand firm and believe that with You, all things are possible.

Today we declare: We believe, Lord. Nothing is impossible for You.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
