Gog and Magog—Prophecy Unfolding Before Our Eyes
Israel: The Centerpiece of God’s Timetable
I don’t normally speak on unfolding world wars or rumors of wars, but I think it’s time.
Ezekiel 38 speaks of a coalition of nations that will rise against Israel in the last days.
It’s not just ancient symbolism—it’s a clear revelation of the future.
Israel is not just another nation;
it is the centerpiece of God’s prophetic calendar, the land chosen by Him.
In 1948, after 2,000 years, Israel became a nation again—a miracle the Bible predicted. The return of the Jewish people from the four corners of the earth was prophesied in
Ezekiel 37 is unfolding before our eyes.
What’s even more stunning is the Bible names Iran—ancient Persia—as a major player in the end-times war against Israel. This isn’t religious rhetoric. It’s a geopolitical reality. Iran has funded six proxy armies over the past 30 years; each aimed at one goal: the destruction of Israel.
We are watching coordinated moves and emboldened strategies that align exactly with biblical prophecy. Russia, Turkey, Iran, and North African nations are forming political, economic, and military alliances.
Identifying the Prophetic Players
Here’s what Ezekiel outlined:
- Magog: Russia
- Meshech & Tubal: Regions in modern Russia
- Persia: Iran
- Gomer & Togarmah: Linked to modern Turkey
- Cush: Parts of Sudan and Ethiopia
- Put: Libya
These nations have never historically shared unified goals—until now.
Russia has already forged military partnerships with Iran and Turkey. Russia has established air defense systems and military bases in Syria, right on Israel’s doorstep. Iran has deployed missile systems in Syria, placing Israel squarely in their crosshairs. Turkey has also shifted from Western alignment to Islamic authoritarianism, partnering with both Iran and Russia.
These coalitions are no coincidence. Ezekiel saw it 2,600 years ago. This isn’t abstract prophecy—it’s precision prophecy.
The Enemies Are Encircling
Libya, Sudan, Ethiopia, and other North African countries, deeply divided and ripe for outside influence, are also joining the anti-Israel sentiment. These players perfectly match Ezekiel’s vision.
Ezekiel didn’t know about oil, nuclear weapons, or the United Nations. He simply wrote, by the Spirit of God, what would unfold. The divine timeline is moving swiftly. Many have said we are in the last days, but now Ezekiel 37 and 38 feel immediate, not distant, not symbolic, but real.
Yet we are warned not to let fear take hold. Instead, we should marvel at the sovereignty of God. He laid this out for us. He told us what would happen, not to frighten us, but to strengthen our faith.
We must be like the five wise virgins, awake and ready, lamps filled with oil, living alert and expectant of the bridegroom’s coming.
The Miracle of God’s Intervention
In past Israeli wars—1948, 1967, and 1973—Israel’s victories came against overwhelming odds. The world marveled at their military success, intelligence, and resolve. But in Ezekiel’s prophecy, Israel does not win by military might.
God Himself steps in.
Ezekiel 38:18 says, “It shall come to pass at the same time when Gog comes against the land of Israel that My fury shall show in My face.”
God’s fury will be so intense that the earth will shake, mountains will fall, and confusion will break out among the invading armies. They will turn on each other. God will rain down hailstones, fire, and brimstone—not as symbolic language but as a demonstration of His power.
Why? Ezekiel 38:23 says, “I will magnify Myself and sanctify Myself, and I will be known in the eyes of many nations. Then they shall know that I am the Lord.”
This is the purpose: that the world will know He alone is God.
In a time when nations mock God and the world drifts further from Him, God will take center stage. This is not a defeat for Israel—it is a declaration that the battle belongs to the Lord.
The Call: Stay Awake and Stay Ready
God’s faithfulness to Israel is a reminder that His promises to us are just as sure. He will fight for His people. He will never abandon those who belong to Him.
These prophecies aren’t given to scare us—they are meant to awaken us. As the world trembles over nuclear weapons and headlines of war, we are called to lift our eyes, to see beyond the chaos, and to remember that Jesus is coming soon.
Luke 21:28: “When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.”
God has told us what will happen. He has gone before us. Now is not the time to panic—
It is time to prepare. Are you ready?
Really ready to stand before your Lord. Next time, we will look at that very topic.
The Urgency of our time.
Lord I am believing that June is the month of my restoration (please name them.) June will be a month of taking back what Satan has stolen, it will be a month of restoration of what the canker worm has eaten and taken away. Financially, relationally, we declare June is our month of restoration of the glory of the lord in our lives, which was scattered.
What we lost will come back in his blessings, and his beauty, and what he has said concerning us. We pull down every stronghold that has stunted the path of God’s blessings. Lord, forgive me for being so lukewarm in my battles with the enemy. Forgive me for not taking Sunday’s high ground before now. But Lord, today is the day we have drawn a line in the spirit. No More Satan! Take your hands off of my life, In ___________ and __________ I take back the authority you have stolen from me, and I proclaim the victory of Sunday. Of your promises to bless me, my family, and my health and finances. When you are with me, Lord, NO ONE can stand against me.
So, Lord, receive the prayers and prophetic words of your scripture that June is our month of taking back the high ground in these areas. June will be our Sunday of believing your blessings are for us, and your protection is upon us to restore what was stolen. In Jesus’ Name.
Great are you Lord. Casting Crowns
