Each beginning is the end of a waiting.

Every tree was first a seed that waited Part II

To me, as I walk through the woods I am looking up. I am seeing the clouds beyond the treetops. In the world I am looking up at the skyscrapers, towering achievements ready to be conquered! I am on a mission to succeed and be more. A life mission to provide a better life for those I love and who love me. How noble is that? Who could find fault with that? And as I grew older and wiser. As I grew in stature with God…In wisdom, patience, character…kindness, humility, joy, and forgiveness…something changed. It was me. I started to see differently, hear different things than before. Before my eyes…I was like a butterfly who kept pressing until the cocoon was broken and I emerged this beautiful soaring spirit…learning that all good things come from the father. That seed that waited and wandered for so long…too long… came alive ready for an eternal purpose that was written on my heart since time began. My seed, my name, my purpose, my Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name and thy seed.

I started to see this host of seeds/acorns beneath my feet as I walked among the towering oaks, laying there, alive but dormant. One souring oak deposits 100,000 acorns lying alive but dormant, maybe for a 1,000 years, waiting for their time and perhaps my calling to stir them.

I heard this call from inside. These people who are downtrodden are those seeds waiting. Waiting for such a time as this. A time for me to slow down and realize the treetops that I have held my focus, my drive, and my passion were an idol before God. If God owns the cattle on a thousand hills, should I not be working for the king of Kings and Lord of All? Does that father not care for his sons and daughters in the Fathers’ business. Did Jesus not come to save and heal and restore and be the example of true living. Jesus, the eternal seed, living water, a perfect sacrifice who waited for the appointed time. And then there was my seed. My time to break out of that embryo, my shell with the same purpose as Christ himself.

When the embryo within a seed starts to grow, "it basically just stretches out of its doubled-over waiting posture, elongating into official ownership of the form that it assumed years ago. The hard coat that surrounds a peach pit, a sesame, or mustard seed, or a walnut’s shell mostly exists to prevent this expansion. In the laboratory, we simply scratch the hard coat and add a little water and it’s enough to make almost any seed grow. I must have cracked thousands of seeds over the years, and yet the next day’s green never fails to amaze me. Something so hard can be so easy if you just have a little help. In the right place, under the right conditions, you can finally stretch out into what you’re supposed to be.

After scientists broke open the coat of a lotus seed (Nelumbo nuci¬ fera) and coddled the embryo into growth, they kept the empty husk. When they radiocarbon-dated this discarded outer shell, they discovered that their seedling had been waiting for them within a peat bog in China for no less than two thousand years. This tiny seed had stubbornly kept up the hope of its own future while entire human civilizations rose and fell. And then one day this little plant’s yearning finally burst forth within a laboratory. I wonder where it is right now."

Father God, knew your name before time began. He called your seed out by name. You waited to come to life in His appointed time, so you could grow into a tree that would drop a million seeds of your kind. So you would grow to talk and recognize those seeds all around us that we can offer shelter to, help to, and show them the light of eternity.

For all creation, those seeds, wait with eager expectation…waiting and longing to see the manifestation of the sons of God" Romans 8:19 US,,,

I heard said, "Each beginning is the end of a waiting. Each of us is both impossible and inevitable. Every tree was first a seed that waited".
