Ephesians 4:16 says that the body, “grows as each part does its work.”

February 7th is our kick-off for Groups at Grace Family Church. It’s time to come back together. We are so excited about what God is going to do through people.

Ephesians 4:16 says that the body, “grows as each part does its work.”

Rather than a devotional today. I wanted to ask some questions. Our Small Groups begin soon and I felt compelled to give you some food for thought. Perhaps have this discussion at home or with your accountability partners.

1. In what specific ways can you motivate another Christian to show acts of love and good works?

A. What are some ways others have motivated you?

2. How have you experienced growth and maturity in your life since being in a small group?

3. How does spiritual maturity differ from spiritual infancy?

4. Matthew 18:20 says, “ For where two or three gather together as my followers, I am there among them.” If we know God is everywhere at all times, why would Jesus point out His Presence in a small group gathering? Have you experienced His Presence? How did you know?

5. What gifts and talents do you have? Where do you think your gifts and talents would be best served at your Family Church?

6. Discuss the serving opportunities below. Which opportunity are you going to select together as a family or group?

(Men’s Courageous, Beautiful, Home Builders, Prayer Team, Ushers, Greeters, 2nd Saturday, Soup Kitchen, Dream Center, Weekend Team, Weekday Team, Student Ministries, Children’s Ministries, Global Missions)

Did you know that we offer so many opportunities to help people? Perhaps you’re in a season when you need help vs volunteering yourself. Take a look at the ministry meetings we offer to those in need.

Men’s Courageous, Beautiful, Home Builders, Freedom, Divorce Care, Kingdom Men, Financial Peace University, Pre Marriage, Marriage Intensive, Grief Share, Celebrate Recover, Parenting, Singles after Divorce with children.

These are all led by qualified volunteers

who have a passion and heart for their area.

7. Why is consistency such an important part of building community? Sometimes we need to come alongside others to help us in our need and to hopefully help others around us too.

Take Away

Ephesians 4:16 says that the body, “grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.”

What steps must you take to fully work towards achieving this goal?

Think about where you need to be, and if you can be of help or whether you just need to be apart for a season and gets some strength, confidence, and healing for yourself. Thank you for giving in every way that you can. Each of us is designed to make a difference, no matter what season of life we are in. I pray you will offer what you have. Offer Youself.
